Since this is primarily going to be set up for track racing, it will just use the Baja 5T can. The truck can makes a surprising amount of very smooth linear power for a stock "can" type exhaust, with the big benefit of being a very quiet exhaust.

Good idea Ted. After running at Hostiles bash last fall, and a few local nitro tracks we could get on, im a firm believer in you can have way to much power on a track. i think a stock T can or even a gutted B can is going to be hard to beat on a dirt type mx track. or a JP track pipe may be ok

A Baja off the shelf is about $900, to do up what I am doing retail would be about another $500-600. To do the blue one up on the previous page, I would say that one is at about $6500 (really ).

I have some of the anodized stuff back, they made a booboo and plated the stuff that was suppose to be hard black, green , so they need to strip it and re-plate; it will be ready Monday for pickup, and then I can really get rolling with the reassembly.

I did strip down the shocks, all of them are bent, and 3 did not have a drop of oil in them , the 4th was about 1/3 full -

Awesome build up. Great pictures. John should be punched in the neck for treating his Baja like that. Man, what a loser that guy is.

The build looks insane DarkSoul, I'd love a Baja but I don't think the locals round my way would like it.

Default More Progress

Got all the anodized parts back, the main chassis and engine plate and some other misc. bits are all in hard black, and then some of the new aluminum Turtle Racing bits were anodized green-

The engine with the newly ano'ed heat sink-

Working on assembly now, will have some more progress later this evening.

Going with the RCC build on this one. Looks great. I will have to get one of my heatsinks anoe'd. This will be one nice rig when done. I can see teh finished build without paint right now. Looks awesome.

As shocking and difficult to believe as it may be, Badger is actually pretty decent on the race track, at least, he is when I raced Slashes with him.

Large scale is a whole other enchilada though, so we will see how he does, the race is this coming Sunday, and I think Badger might be web casting possibly.

Yup, it is gonna be nice, I have an idea for the body, a buddy of mine is suppose to cut the vinyl paint masks for me, hopefully I will have time. All the chassis are back from the plater, and I need to get them packaged and on their way to the dealers and so on.

Right he is good on the track, but when the race is over he'll be out back running it through mud puddles, then he'll just take it home and put it on the shelf.

You're gonna have to take it home with you after each race and clean it up and prep it for him. Otherwise it's gonna end up looking like it did when you got it from him.

Like I said before that thing was mint when I sent it to him.

we talked about it a little today, I won't be webcasting that day so he can do it. It'll give me something to watch on my 8 hour drive home from Omaha.
