So here is the primary assembly, this stuff all goes very quickly, its all the small stuff that takes up a ton of time, I have probably about a half day tomorrow to wrench on it until UPS drops off the balance of the 1.9 chassis bits, then its packaging hell to get them out. But for now, added sway bars front and rear, and all the green anodized Turtle Racing parts- The overview- Close ups of the front structures- And the rear structures- Next up are the front and rear a-arms, hub assemblies, finish up the engine and install, shock rebuild and installation, tire swap and new green beadlocks, brakes and servo linkages all around, and lots of little tedious crap. Have to have it buttoned up by Saturday morning so Badger and I can get the electronics all dialed in for the race Sunday. |

| I posted up earlier that I might have one that needs a good home. It's the SS model and I have a few mods done. LMK what you think. I have three sitting here and only drive one by myself and my brother drives the other so I have a third for spare parts.

Here we go, I was really rushed o get this out the door for Badger, so we could race this weekend, but here it is- Front Suspension Rear suspension Overview of chassis Engine in, wheels on Shock on, and ready to roll Badger arrives to pick it up from my garage workshop- The body still needed to be trimmed up and put on of course, and a few small details, but we were so rushed to get going I did not have time. Badger and I raced the Autocross on Sunday, some of you may have seen it, on the webcast, the car performed very well, and ran all the heats and the main with no issue short of a torn tire I believe. Badger took a 4th overall which is damn respectable for his first ever large scale race, specially one that is so difficult, setting up an offroad car for road course with jumps, its a difficult race. I was not so lucky, one of the extremely talented racers out there who normally races sedans and F1, decided it would be funny to pull the ultimate nOOb maneuver and t-bone my car at speed, pretty much gutting the side of the engine, that along with a corner worker sleeping on the job, I went from 1st, to last, to DNF, for me, the main was shite. |

Let me guess, with all the green, it was gonna be a St. Patrick's day present? If I ever get employed again I may actually start and run mine for the first time. I mean it's not like I've had it for 5 months. :-( Last edited by LumTheMad; 03-16-2009 at 10:45 AM. |

Hey. I was thinking of getting a 5B new. Is there anything on these out of the box that is crap and will just have to be replaced right away? Or are they pretty solid out of the box?
