The RTR 2.0 and the SS are pretty solid right out of the box.

About the only item that may need upgrading at some point is the plastic diff housings on the RTR 2.0. The SS comes with aluminum housings.

Which one were you thinking about getting?

Not sure yet with one I'm going to get. From what you are saying it sounds like it should be the SS. I am not familiar with them at all. The only thing I have bigger than a Rustler is my Brushless OFNA 9.5 1/8 scale buggy. So this would be a really big step up for me. Anybody converted one for brushless yet? Figured maybe they had since the Mamba Monster was out now.

Even the Mamba Monster is not big enough for the 5b, you have to have a huge esc and a ton of battery on board. From what I understand, to convert a Baja to brushless is another $2k on top of the Baja itself, plus still only get 10-15 minutes run time, kinda stupid if you ask me to convert a 25 lb RC to electric to get twice the cost to build, and half the run time. With the stock motor, you can/should get about 45 minutes per tank.

Thanks. The flower was to pay homage to a lovely flower bush that Ted destroyed while showing off his 4wd offroad rig. He made a few passes on his and his neighbors yard and drove in between these two nice flower bush things, then made another pass with a little more speed coming back to his driveway and drove right through the flower bush thing leaving probably 15% of it left and the rest all over the driveway.

Ted definitely went all out on this build, not for bling but for just pure performance and strong reliability.

That body was just a temporary body since Ted didn't have time to do up my RCC scheme'd body. I'll get good picks of it when it's done for sure.

Yep. Once I saw it down at Ted's I knew that the 5B would be my autocross rig and that I now need to get a 5T to bash and race offroad.

I think that was Ted's ulterior motive all along.

I don't believe for a second that you run those! They are two very nice looking shelf queens though. Did you just cheerlead on the sidelines when everyone else runs?

The Autocross was webcast, I believe it was archived, but it will be some time before that gets thrown up on Youtube.

Badger, we're still waiting on the pics of the complete baja. Hmmm...I wonder how far you can toss this one?

I've been buggin Ted about my own build lately. So far I'm up to about $1000 in upgrades, not even counting the price of the Baja. Damn, these things are expensive!

Afraid this is my fault, just been so busy with all the crawler bits, moving into a new warehouse, and getting ready for the RCX show, I have not been able to paint the body, but I will be getting on it soon.
