im fairly determind to have a race car style interior to really set this off but room is becoming an issue in trying to think of the layout of everything. to have a good intirior i've got to have motor, gearbox, and steering servo in the 'engine bay' as well as the front suspention setup. i think i'll share one air cylinder for both wheels up front which sould save some room as well as a good micro srvo to steer it. it'll be very tight up the front but i think i can pull it off. i'd have so much more room if i ditched interior, but i said no cutting corners this time lol. if i have to go 370 size motor i will. but i'll try 540 to start with. i should be able to fit the battery hidden as a fuel cell in the back somewhere. hopefully i can buy some of the components in the next week so i can do a moke up of the layout my mate is bringing some silver solder gear round tomorro so might get a start on it then. |

cheers bud, its getting off to a slow start but it is happening. just wondering, has anyone used these or know someone who has? im wanting some for the f-truck but unsure how the 'calipar' is actually fixed in place. it says it fit hpi sprint hubs so im going to run them too. just want to know if they fit R2hobbies.com - 1/10 RC On-road Car Aluminium Brake Disc Kit, Brake Disc, rcvp3345018_code also i have come up with a color theme. the body, seats, and wheels will be matt black. with all the tube work and brake calipars will b bright orange. and the floor and dash a flat silver. |

Found it, hah. Nice build schuler, looks great. Very creative. I agree, the sound of an cranky LS1 is very appealing to my ears. |

hey, progress unfortunately is very slow at the moment, still sorting through ideas and what i actually want it to be able to do. make no mistake tho its still going ahead. money has been the issue of late. i was actually looking at it tonight a bit, i might try and get some materials over the weekend to start at least some sort of base chassis and on the ls1 topic, it is music to my ears first thing in the morning when i leave for work =) lol |

Bought some 1.6mm thick steel today for the chassis floor. It's measured up and the shape is scribed in. I'll cut it out tomorrow and post a picture of it

Got the chassis base cut out this arve, it's pretty solid and I'm confident it won't bend haha. It should be a very rigid chassis when it's got 5 or 6 meters of steel brake line welded to it!
