sounds good, but it WILL take time to get used to..

if your running on carpet, its great.. if your running on your street, a sprint 2 with a front motor conversion might be better..

the only downside with the xray t2 007 is that parts are slowly getting hard to find, since Xray is already on the T3 009. Not to mention, its not such a drifter.. i would take a HPI sprint 2 with a front motor conversion if i drifted more.

+1 on that. 3s i think may just be overpowered.

When sheldons hobbies used to do drifting, i believe the standard was like 2s with a 5k motor?

my sprint 2 with real drift tires was pretty damn good. Ran it with the stock electrics and was ok. With a mamba and velenion it was awesome perfect power and wheel speed. 2s is all the power you need for sure. I just fliped the chassis around for a front motor setup and will see how that goes today.
My other drifter is a tb03.....very nice car and out handle the sprint and shits on it with a few mods...oneway etc.

I just picked this tamiya up off eBay. Its a drift spec and has the led light kit, bunch of aluminum goodies and a tazer esc. I feel like it needs a slightly more powerful motor as when it gets up to some speed it tends to push through the turns. But the price I am real happy, it's tons of fun.

Does it currently have drift tires on it? VXL in a 4tec with rubber tires will not drift, but it will roast some tires. :-)

But if you do run 4 mini servos then you have to run a dual stick Tx, I have yet to try that with drifting.
