The Basher- Traxxas Slash/ Raptor SVT

well a buddy of mine has had a slash for about a month and thought it was time for me to get one. ended up going with the new Raptor SVT edition, i liked the semi-scale look of it, even tho i am not a Ford fan in anyway. lol
not going to call this a project, since i dont plan i doing much to it and just want to use it for bashing and going fast for the most part.
only plans so for are-
RPM mudflaps- ordered
RPM off-road lights- ordered
2x 7-cell 3000mah batteries- ordered
pro-line long travel kit
5000mah batteries for more run time
Traxxas brushless ESC and motor- have it just needs set in and fixed
chevy silverado truck body- later on

yes i did, got it in a trade, but esc gets hot right away. about bought a Sidewinder SCT combo today, but thought i would stay with traxxas.

Great buy! I love my Slash VXL such a great time to be had. I got just about every RPM suspension goodie on there that I could get.

nice body, i owned a slash a couple years ago and it was fun, stuffed a mamba max and a 5700kv motor, and wheelied at any speed, couldn't keep it of it's lid, i wonder if that nice body would fit my blitz hmmm....

well bought up a few things for the slash, wanted to make it look different from the rest.
RPM- off-road lights kit and mud flaps kit

RPM- tailights kit

RPM- chrome front bumper

RPM- rear chrome bumper


all of it installed-







put thicker hexes on the rear, make it a few MM wider in the rear.

found a few 7-cells on ebay for cheap-

Nice, i have one myself, i got the blue version tho, its a blast abd those traxxas batteries dont last to lond either, i got about 10 solid runs before mine starting getting really short run times, so i bought some new batteries, still waiting for them

No it's not. P-L has louvers and tubework as this has an actual bed, this TRX body is most scale sc body i've come across

I have really enjoyed my slash vxl. Try a 2s lipo in it, you will be amazed how much more punch it has over the nimh.

Im currently running a mamba max pro with the 5700kv castle on a 3s and its amazing how much faster it is than the vxl system. I haven't had a single problem with heat either.

I just bought a whole ex-rental fleet of 2wd Slashes...........look forward to the shipment. I really think SCB's will be the next "new-thing" tho....Losi's got one now, HPI is got one comming. I'd dare to predict Traxxas will have one soon and maybe Axial will reduce the EXO to a 2-seater.

Venom LiPo 3S - 11.1V 6400mAh 20C battery- slightly used

i also did away with the RPM bumpers and went back to stock ones, just added the off-road light and mud flaps to them.
