I had a wheel nut fly off and had to replace it. It turns out team associated RC8B has the same hubs and threads.

if the rc8b nuts work, the ones for losi 8ight should also work.

i had a nut come off of my sc8 and the lhs only had losi ones and they worked perfectly. the sc8 and rc8 are very similar, only big difference is the chassis

The motor died today... I was on my 5th battery when the motor started to hiccup and the car would barely move. I thought maybe the battery was messed up so I took the body off and I noticed everything was hot (battery, esc, motor).
I charged the battery, turned on the car and gave it some throttle and it was still messed up. I noticed the wires to the stator moving slightly with the armature so I made a spanner tool to break down the motor and inspect it. Rocks and dirt had got in the motor and I think it might have messed it up. So I cleaned out the debris and CA glued the stator to the can. The glue is drying and I'm on Ebay looking for a new motor.
The new motor is going to get high temp silicone sealer in all the openings.
I'm not sure which motor I should get.... there's to many choices...
cheap is my#1 requirement

go with better electronics all the way around. a high kv motor on 3s in a 1/8 buggy is a terrible combo. i'm not surprised the motor died already. get a nice 1/8 setup and run it on 4s.

that is a 10th scale motor, and most likely a 2pole. that is going to get incredibly hot even with low gearing.

A 1/10 scale Traxxas Slash Raptor body fits perfectly on this so its basically a 1/10 scale short course truck. From what I read on short course trucks they use 550 motors and those won't fit on my motor mount.

Anyone think there would be a problem with throwing 6s power at this car?
I just ordered a 150a 2-6s hobbywing ezrun.
It should be interesting at the least. I'm thinking 2 batteries 11.1 3s 3000mah. I ordered a total of 3 motors: 1 motor 36x50 3300kv and 2 motors 36x50 2300kv and i'm anticipating some real action... Be it sparks or speed this f@%ker will be a sight to see

Is there replacement parts for it? Seems tempting. I actually run two ACME Trooper SC trucks and love them just as much as I did any of my slash's, and they are real cheap too, they have ALL the replacement parts available though. Slap 6s on there and you will have a blast, until the diffs give.

Parts aren't available which might scare most people. The way I look at it is these things are plastic and with a little bit of fabrication you should be able to graft major components from other 1/8 buggies. If a differential blows up I will replace it as a complete unit from a Losi 8ight or OFNA or Vorza.

I don,t know what kind of lipo or esc you have in that buggy, but the add down below it listed an 80 amp esc with a 2700 20c lipo.
That puts the motor esc and battery at risk only letting 54 amp out to an 80 amp esc ???

I can fit a Raptor body on my head, does that make me a short course truck too?

Sorry, its copyrighted. If you want it you'll have to pay me $10 up front, then another $.25 every time it shows up in your posts.

You would be a terrible short course truck

I added some slash hardware and new motor. It's not as fast as it was with the stock motor, but it was fast enough to get outta control and smash into a trailer and snap up some screws and plastic. I made a new link mount out of hdpe. It snapped the right side A arm screw and i beat it straight on the anvil and brazed it back together.
