I just finished building one up for my wife. Fun little car if you aren't putting in too much horsepower. I got all my parts from rcmart.com except for the actual HPI hopups.

Check out the parts: rcMart.com- HPI E10 For HPI Hopup Parts

I have an E10. Upgrades I did were some nice oil filled shocks from an old rs4
Seems once you start taking the motor out you need the aluminum motor mount. I could not get my plastic one to stay tight after I changed motors. And with more hp you are going to want the aluminum drive shaft as well

I also fabricated my own aluminum strut tower bars and a girder that spans the length of the chassis to stiffen things up

One problem I have had though, is. If I use a non hpi motor I burn them up. The only thing I can think of is that the hpi motor has a fan built into the commutator to keep things cool. I've burnt up a reedy ruby 17t and a venom 19t. So hot the wires desolder and the motor smells horrible
Hpi 15t. Nice and cool. I don't know

Fun little car though for the money.
