Default My Xmas present to me- EXO!

Hey guys. I decided to give myself an early present this year and bought an Exo roller. It was made from a kit and barely run. Here's what it looked like when I got it.

I tore it down (electric screwdriver is mandatory if you get one of these) and bolted in a Mamba Max Pro/3800Kv SCT motor/ESC combo. Then added all the necessary STRC metal parts. I threw in some LEDs, a new set of body panels painted bright yellow, and a scale motor and accessories.
Here's what it looks like now.
EDIT: Avoid the STRC wheel hubs. They introduce slop and wobble into the system, particularly the fronts. The chassis parts are fine, but the wheel hubs are junk.

I have some Pro-Line shocks, but I'm not sure if I want to use them yet. I also plan to put some plastic grating behind the two guys to cover the rear compartment. This way I can strap in a couple of scale accessories and still get good air flow.

And yes, it screams. Being the noob I am to these buggies, I would call it scary fast.

@ Richterat83

You want an EXO over a Slaxh 4x4. I have owned them both - the EXO will drive circles around the Slash 4by.

Great lookin EXO - I like the scale drivers - looks like the kids stole the buggy and took it for a joy ride - LOL! LOVE IT!

I love this Exo, but the Wraith is great too. I had to have them both. I don't know about the Slash as I've never owned or driven one.
Here's my Wraith.

Lol, yeah, I like them too. They are 1/10 scale, but are riding a bit low and a bit forward. The "lowness' is due to using the stock dash. I really like the way it molds to the frame at the front, so I wanted to keep it in.

The "forwardness" is only like half an inch from the stock configuration. This was necessary to allow for room behind the driver's seat to vent the fan on the motor case. I couldn't use the stock interior plate because of this.

All of this seems to give the impression that they are small. But, they are true to scale. Here's the guy I was planning to use before I happened on the HPI guys.

I got bored waiting for parts to arrive so I built the rear grating and attached some scale accessories I had lying around. I also re-did the helmets of the driver and navigator to more match the buggy.

Is that a 1.9 or 2.2 setup on that beauty? Great job on scale drivers and details!

Thanks! The buggy has the stock tires and wheels on it 2.2/3.0 I think.
