The diff housing and internals are the same units that were used in the TR15 and Supertens. Just install a second set of spiders and they are golden. They can take a serious beating. Also you might want to swap the OG chains at some point for some "bike like" ones. Sorry I don't know how they are called in English.

Right now I just put a 3 cell on the stock motor with stock pinion, it seems ok, but not that fast.
Gearing is stock 84 tooth spur and XX pinion. ( I will look at them and reply when known) The low end is nice and smooth. The top end is fun, on 3s it's really fun. On 3s they are holding up well with all mods done to them. DO NOT run anything on 3s unless you have done all mods.

Top speed is unknown... These really aren't ever going to be fast rigs, just like making tracks in the snow. Nothing better then sitting in the house watching through a window...

The rx looks vulnerable. The snow finds ways in. I put the esc and rx in a small fishing lure box.

Here's a short teaser video from last weekend.

Traxxas VXL-3s ESC/Motor
Traxxas 2075 Servo
2S Lipo
Full Stainless Ball Bearings
Diff and Brake mods

And yes, they are REAL fun on 3S...

To the best of my knowledge it is "currently" discontinued so you will have to see if you can find an HS with one in stock or surf the web on places liek RCU, E-bay and Craig's List.

Wow, I never knew they made snow-track R/C cars like this. They're pretty cool.
