I'venever seen a seemless joined lexan ody efore. your best bet it to make a clean straight cut, and butt match them together, and use a strip of lexan shoegoo'd to the inside. Most types of body filler will crack when the lexan bends. You could probably get away with using shoe goo to fill in the gaps, and just quickly wi[e off the excess and smooth it out as best as possible. Then just paint over the exterior like you mentioned. You might also want to try and hide yout cuts by using an existing body line as the join point.

I used a line from the original body's to cut. I am using plastix still by KB weld. Its hard as a rock.and even bending the body doesn't give at all. I smooth one side and its near to perfect. Better than I thought it would be. I dremeled down close then sanded. Sent from one of those new boxes you can talk thru and hear sombody else in it. |
