Kinda makes sense, Not too many retirees buying RC cars or trucks.

You'd be suprised... Lots of oldies racing SC and on road touring... Most of them like to fly. Not that any of that has to do with crawling...

If it's harder to get people will pay for it, just like the hard body Toyota land Cruiser, from Ashimo I think it was, those go for close to $200 if you can find them.

more than that! lol

I wish that new bright would go back to the bodies with interior in them these solid color ones like the lime green one etc.... are not near as nice as the others imo.

Looks to me like there's a market for hard bodies for rc trucks. People pay $100 for NB bodies and $150 plus for a RC4WD Toyota. It looks to me like someone could sell nice detailed hard bodies. They could offer a scale body representing every major automaker. I'm no marketing expert, so I may be totally off base.

I just looked up rcrecycler.com, and they have the 1/10 Wrangler Unlimited body for $208, while the Rubicon 2 dr bodies are $70. It's cheaper just buying the whole New Bright at one of the local stores, and use what you need.

That rcrecycler body is used and missing a taillight. Ridiculous. I just bought a new one here on Rccrawler yesterday. Old style, full interior, light package already installed, not a scratch on it. $85.00.

Granted, I feel lucky it was available. Keep your eyes open here. Once in a while the old style ones (full interior, hard plastic) show up for a reasonable price!

Saw a pile of brand new New Brights at the local Walmart a couple days ago for about $55.

Yeah I was looking this morning and I think I saw a few for $175. I guess since more people started to buy them because of the scale factor, they felt like they could start raising the price since people would still pay for them.
