Default Plastic Adhesives??

Im in the midst of hacking and cutting a Nikko Toyota Tundra Xtra cab to a single cab:

While its going good so far I need to know what I can use for the strongest of bonds to the plastic seams:

All ive done so far is a couple of dots of superglue to hold it to the basic shape im looking for. i have experience with Tenax and Ambroid Proweld on styrene but noticed that during my JK build that it didnt necessarily bond plastic hardbodies as well as the styrene you can get from the LHS. Ideally I need a bond that can withstand rollover after rollover after rollover (Not sayin much for my driving skills!! ) without coming undone. Any pro or even pro-ish help would be much appreciated

Epoxies : Permatex® PermaPoxy

I've had good luck with this stuff. Sets up fast too so you don't have to sit there hold the pieces together for an hour

Since most of the New Bright and Nikko bodies are made with ABS, I use C/A to hold the pieces together then back it with ABS pipe cement. The cement creates a strong bond by fusing with the body. Works like a charm and is fully sandable, and it also paints just fine.

Thanx guys. Think Ill give the ABS glue a shot. I like the fact it will be somewhat flexible as well so it will "bend' and twist without breaking.

Your right it does stay somewhat flexible, but still creates a strong bond. Plus the other benefit is it is very easy to sand and shape if you use it as a filler also.

Hey I'm in the crew cab process on my Tamiya Blackfoot... Not to hijack your thread or anything but can anyone verify if the new Tamiya bodies are ABS as well?
