| Tape for stripes.
Ive got a new JK kit and it will be the first body Ive painted. The paint scheme Ive picked has several different stripes and Im wandering whats the best type of tape to use to stripe it off. Heres a pic of what im going to try to end up with. |

If you have a sign shop near by ask them if the have any scraps and see what they would want for them, I've found some at several shops and almost all just have them to me, and when the others charged it was only a couple $$. The vynle makes crisp clean lines where tape can sometimes allow the paint to bleed and make a nice job look not so nice. |

3m pinstriping tape from any automotive store, made of vinyl, inexpensive, various widths, can make slight curves without wrinkling upon itself, trims easy and makes crisp lines. i use this, then wider masking tape for larger areas |

Tamiya makes some stripes that are different sizes and colors. They work great. They also make a 1/4 wide masking tape too. Both of these work nicely.

liquid masking tape is what iv found best for painting lexan bodies, all other tapes have risk of bleeding unless your willing to sand the inside of your body, witch is a pain in the ass,, here check these out its how iv learned to paint my stuff and its turned out 100 times nicer scence i started doing it like this,, this one is how to use tape HemiStorm RC painting tutorial part 1 of 2 - YouTube these will show you how to use liquid https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...QLMVZCymSUOUvA |

Rattle cans is all I've used, I have an air brush but have never taken the time to learn how to use it. |
