Default Window tint film

Anyone tried window tint film on the windows ? I was thinking the static cling type should be safe for lexan ,..a nice mirror or smoked tint ?

I've used a spray on tint made for R/C cars. Can't think of the name right now.

I've done a few glass windshields and its a pain in the ass, back in the day, when I had my first Toyota Mini Truck, I did some tinting, not sure if it would look right, since lexan is not clear, like glass it might make it look hazy or cloudy, not glossy or shiny, like on glass, like I was doing. we would buy bulk tinting on rolls and do as many trucks as we could until the roll ran out. we had a small truck club starting at the time.

Ya can also use the old trick I learned from back in my 1:24 static model days

Color the inside of the window with a magic marker.
Sounds odd, but it works really well.
Magic marker on chrome has a cool effect also.
Will turn a boring set of chrome wheels into something pretty cool.

if you hunt down some Hobbyshops, or Hobby Lobby's around your house, even WalMart or Michaels, check them all, you may be able to find Pactra Window Tint #RC294. I found a can at the local hobby shop clearance table. And if you're not too particular, or not running an interior, you can use backing black, or for that matter any black paint for lexan, for the same effect.

Yep this is a popular method amongst rc drifters for taillights and headlights. Magic Markers FTW. Best thing is that its cheap, easy to do, and easy to get the stuff to do it.

I've seen RC window tint film in multiple colors the Japenense drift drivers use it. You might start a google seach. The Japenese Hobby stores like Race and Drift or Tetsuijin may carry them but beware Japenese mail is expensive $$$ and super slow (about a month to the US).

I used regular auto tint. It does have a few bubbles but not really noticeable unless your up close. Used the window masks as stencils and applied with soapy water.
