| Painting questions!
Hello, about to paint a body with Tamiya PS-61 Metallica Orange and Tamiya PS-12 Silver. What color should i paint with first? And should i use a backing color after? Which color in that case? I want the colors to be really bright if possible! |

Is it a Lexan body? Or a hard body? |

for lexan spray the orange first and then spray the silver. The silver will back the orange and brighten it up if its a hard plastic body spray the silver and then the orange |

Orange then silver. The silver may be enough to brighten it up. If not you can back it all with white and that should brighten it up as well.

you can put a few more coats of silver on and call it good, its a good solid color. Backing it with black or white is an option if you have black or white laying around but just silver is good imo.

With a metallic orange on lexan the white will really make the color pop like on the lid of the paint can. Silver will darker it up just a shade or two but the metallic in the silver should show through pretty well. Either way clean it good with Dawn dish soap first and use very light thin coats and several of them. The orange will look clear-ish for the first 2-3 coats, but if you don't take your time in this area of the painting process you will have runs in the orange that will show through no matter what you do.
