The tamiya FJ40 body fits perfect. I got rid of the rear bumper and used body posts through the holes and mounted the rear that way and the front with stock posts. |

Both the Bronco and Fj Bodies look great on the Barrage chassis. I have been a fan of the ECX lineup for a long time now but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. I'm thinking a pair of Barrages converted to a CC01 Bronco and a Vaterra Ford F100 would be great!

I made some small changes to my Barrage body. removed photos - photobucket will not let free users link to pictures anymore - sorry. Then I found a very pink Barby jeep at Value Village for $6 which I painted red and black. I didn't take a before picture but google it and you see they are very pink! The wheelbase is too short (230mm) so it needed work with my Dremel (best tool ever). It does not fit well or look good sitting still, but I think it looks okay when it is driving, you can't really tell it doesn't fit. The paint was from Kent and is a spray can with paint and primer all in one made for plastic. The Jeep decals are from the Barby body, I pealed them off carefully and they were sticky enough to just stick back on. I am using the Jeep until my FTX Outback Treka body arrives (Bronco with a 250mm wheelbase and I think the same width as the Barrage body). The wheels are 100mm by 50mm from a 1/12 GPToys monster truck, new proper crawler ones are in the mail Cheers Last edited by Johannes1863; 07-16-2017 at 06:56 PM. |

Thanks. I've since moved to a hard body and rear leaf springs still a wip but that part of the fun.

I find with the heavier body it tips/tilts to the left when I accelerate, although it still goes in a straight line, taking the spare wheel of the back of the Jeep and making it lighter seemed to help a little. Edit: New body and wheels came today. Drilled the holes and here it is. Fits great. removed photos - photobucket will not let free users link to pictures anymore - sorry.
