Default Technical body question...

Ok need some advice from those of you who've done a lot of body work...

How much can I move a wheelbase and not ruin the scale look? More specifically can I "shift" a wheel base 1/2" in each wheel well?

I would like to try and fit a 285mm body to a 313mm frame. Can it be done?

Thanks for any and all advice in advance!

This is the body that got my attention:

I really want to build a D90 body for my TRX4 Bronco frame so that the portals are scale to the make...but I don't want the weight of the D110 and I don't want to extend the frame. I also prefer the look of a D90 vs. a D110.

It depends on the body....

I am mounting a Sumo body(10" wb) on my Scx10II chassis with a 11.4" wb its a long streach, but works. Like jeeps guys build buggys out of them ,and run full size axles frequently. Bur I am going to have to cut a portion of the grill, and a portion of the rear corners off to clear the tires. Its a extreme setup, but I am having fun.....

As far as it looking right, a common thing to do in full scale is lengthen the links when going to bigger tires. And bigger tires do make the streach look better.

Its not hard to shorten the wheelbase with shorter links, and driveshafts.

Well if you’re making up 1.4” I should be able to make up an inch right?
