Default Filling shell/body section

Hey
Iv got a losi night crawler bare shell that I'm going to use. It has a section in the front window for a roof mounted light bar. I'm not running a light bar on my crawler so I'm wanting to fill the sunken section so its flush with the rest of the windscreen and then make a black strip sticker to run across the top 5mm to 8mm of the windscreen. Sorry I can't post pics as haven't got any way of doing so.

I'm thinking of just taping around the sunken part at top of the windscreen and using shoe too to fill the hole/sunken section then I'll have nice clean edges when removing the tape so it won't effect the internal area that I'll paint afterwards.
I know bout wetting your finger and smoothing the shoe too for a neat finish. But I wanted to check if there is a better way of doing this job?
I'm thinking body filler or epoxy will be too hard/brittle for the lexan body and will eventually crack.
Any advice will be appreciated.

I meant using shoe goo.
Stupid spell check.
Is this the best option?

I would shoe goo with a small bit of drywall mesh in it. If you do it as a few layers it will be smoother, let it dry and shrink then it will sand

I have had pretty good luck with a mix of superglue and baking soda. Fill hole with baking soda and drip superglue on it. It hardens realy fast and so far for me has been pretty durable. I have not tried it but a friend of mine says if you use the tire super glue ( black ) it stays somewhat flexible. I think the black tire glue has rubber dust in it, I use it for tire shut and cut and tire repair. I dont know how it will sand or hold paint. Just a thought. Let us know what you do, there are always people looking to do some type of mod or repair on lexan. Good luck
