| Thoughts about threads??
I know we don't have a rally 'section', for whatever reason, and everyone posts up their individual threads here. I'm thinking whether we should have a product specific thread happening, like a "Tamiya XV-01 thread", or a "Kyosho DRX thread", etc. I have read with great interest Turtles http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/non-c...5Ds-drx-s.html thread and also the http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/non-c...4-hpi-wr8.html thread, and that other people have obviously contributed. However do people on this forum mind if others contribute and post pictures of their own? Other forums I've belonged to would frown upon others 'hijacking' other members threads. I think it's a waste of effort and resources that everyone (including my own: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/non-c...ally-time.html) has their own thread. So the main question: do people mind others hijacking their threads so that one main thread could be the holder of all useful information (possibly mainly targeted at Turtle, seeing as your threads are the most in depth at the moment) Apologies for my relative newbism on this forum. Don't want to step on people toes and rub people up the wrong way |

personally I don't mind. I do think it is a good idea to keep posting different threads for each build though. My thought here is this will help Jason with the decision of creating a rally section... And maybe even push for our own sub sections with in a section. It has become pretty clear that rally is here and storming the forums. The more threads the more the demand is seen! |

I'd rather not see everything in one thread either. Then you end up with one long, bloated thread that's hard to read. As far as different vehicle specific sections go, I'm not crazy about that either. Take for example the Axial EXO...popular truck, but it has it's own section on rcshortcourse.com. Same can be said for the Slash threads you see here. I'd rather not see traffic steered away from rcsc just to have sections here. I would like to see a subsection under "non-crawlers" for Rally, and even FOFF should be a subsection under "non-crawlers". But I don't make the rules, I just live by them |
