Default 32P in a XV-01?

Smoked a pinion and spur, pretty sure a rock got inside the spur cover, but I don't really know. Motor screws were tight, doesn't look like the mesh was a problem, giant flat spot on the spur, and munched the metal teeth on the pinion.

Has anyone put 32p gears in? or are they to big

I currently run stock ratio(3.09:1) on 3s. may just go to a steel pinion and 48p if not.

Totally not needed. I have been running the stock (slipper) spur gear for over a year with no issues. The main issue is the soft metal of the stock pinion gear. They really shouldn't be used on these cars. Steel for the pinion and the slipper set up to go over to 48 pitch. As long as the mesh is set correctly you shouldn't have any issues.
