Sounds good, but the XV01 comes as a .6 mod pitch, not 48 pitch. If you get the slipper set that will then convert the car to 48 pitch and then you will be solid. Edit: I see you are getting the slipper, so carry on. |

you shouldn't need any special body posts...

Sometimes I wonder if it isn't just cheaper in the long run to purchase these cars (chassis) as individual parts. Buy all the hop ups you're likely to buy, then buy the rest of the plastic parts ala carte, and stainless hardware to put it together. Then all you need is a manual which (I think) is available as a PDF from the tamiya website. Tappa who? |

its using Ty's post as a Rally Build Bible.. and saying.. ok. Basic Kit + HD Belt + Slipper Clutch seems to be the best novice upgrade. Run the car as is til you break parts.. Upgrade with Yeah Racing aluminum as Phase II.. and see what else will need upgrading based on his post. I created such a thing on our board for the rally thing: XV01 Build Sheet |

| Re: xv01 pro chassis I was under the impression the slipper clutch and the HD belt came with the pro kit. If not, I'm sorry, fairly new to the rally scene.

Ty said get 1XJ aluminum blocks for it too.. as it adds to less failure. i didnt realize there are 2 of these needed .. front and rear. plus the small toe blocks as well for the front. the front small toe are about $30 on ebay the larger blocks are about $11 ebay |

i have a 3800 castle i picked up for a steal.. and a hobby wing 60amp esc.. we created a rally course and i plan on running it there.. i have a Tacon/LC Racing rally car right now.. works great.. great basher.. 4500 kv brushless shaft driven car.. i have jumped tripples and doubles on the short course track and drove it on the oval .. still have not broken a single item other than the body.. great cheap car ~$189 rtr The XV01 will be more to scale of 1/10 and is more a rally car than a beat on it car.. i ll post pictures when i get it in a race here |
