If we (LMRCC) get our Supers going, how many comps do we need to run before the cutoff?

And, when is the cutoff for 2015 World's?

I also understand we need 3 competitors to make all this happen?

Re: 2015 RC Crawling Worlds- Las Vegas Sept 11, 12, 13th

The RCCA forum has all information about series and stuff. 4 comps make a series, 3 people make a comp, and cutoff is about two months prior.

Thanks, John.
Looks like we might have to wait til next year.

I wouldn't wait, even if you didn't make a full season it would still be fun to drive, right? It would also help our driver ranking system get going sooner, and I think a ranking system like disc golf or chess uses would be rad to have!

Question for Joel. On your spread sheet was Gsrcc (nor cal) included? Or was it removed because the data is not on Rcorva?
Im unsure if club pres is a coordinator for Rcorva

Re: 2015 RC Crawling Worlds- Las Vegas Sept 11, 12, 13th

Hello everyone:)

I started to prepare for the 2015 WORLDS, reading this thread....
I have been attending Nationals every year from 2007.
There are too many great memories from it! Love it!

I'm Japanese, Japanese are almost 95% are not bilingual, so no one else can check and read English thread and etc.
So Im doing some work on this.

What I felt from the posts are....

Who want to win the worlds?
Who can attend (eligible) to the Worlds?
Who is going to run the worlds?

But my thinking are.....

We just want to have ultimate FUN at worlds!
We need to discuss what makes Worlds fun!

So my thinking are

Do you need to limit the players?
Off course, top players are eligible to attend but I think you don't need to limit the players to attend the worlds.

Is it glowing category?
I don't feel the comp classes are glowing what we want it to be. so I think this is the timing to let everyone who loves comp RC crawlers can attend the worlds and make it big again.

To organize the worlds, Im really busy but I can help, everyone who really love RC crawlers can help.

John, you are the manager, you control people who loves RC crawlers.

Make the world simple like it used to be.... Like when we started the comps in your hometown....

If someone is designer, design for this worlds!
If someone is sign industries, make sign for the worlds!
If someone can cut metal, make 1st, 2nd and 3rd plates!

Let's get together and make it best world ever!

What do you guys think?

Hey Curt,

That was my mistake. There is a GardenStateRCRC and a GoldenStateRCC. I replaced one with the other. Who is in the contact person (name_RCC ID) of GSRCC and what Nats qualifying classes are being run this season. I'll updated the list for you.

Cheers,

J

I thought that might have been the issue. Those club names/acronyms are waaaaayy to similar.

I think this is a good way to keep the people that are still into comp crawling excited about it. I don't think there are enough people to exclude someone who want to make the kind of effort required to attend an Worlds. It also means that clubs don't have to exclude some of their members who would be really excited by a trip to worlds with their buddies.

Invite info here.
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/rcca-...te-system.html

From what I've read everyone is welcome to compete @ nationals/Worlds. Only catch is you must qualify @ club level or @ a USRCCA/RCORVA qualifier to win the National/Worlds title...

Wasn't other nationals capped @ 100 drivers?
I'd like to see a 100 drivers @ nationals/Worlds, IMO we won't see this many drivers in classic comps ( 2.2pro/2.2s/supers/1.9's)

We have a preferred location and two backups at this time. I will let people know as soon as we are confirmed on a spot.

Crawlanz Australia.

4 rounds run thus far this year, approximately 10 comps across 4 states.
2.2 S, 2.2P, Scale 1, Scale 2 <- (trail)
Our Aussie Nationals have already been run and won (by me 2.2p any way) There are a couple of guys interested in heading over for this years event.

Re: 2015 RC Crawling Worlds- Las Vegas Sept 11, 12, 13th

We will have tickets up shortly, should be within a week pending the update of RCOrva's database. Art met with the BLM yesterday and we are working to secure our preferred site, and there are plenty of backup locations that would be easy to secure in case we can't get #1. Details soon on that.

I won't be limiting ticket sales this year, so all that want to attend will be able to. Foreigners will all be eligible for overall title this year, and US residents will need to be qualified at a regional event or through their local club as outlined before. In 2016 we will require foreigners to qualify, and there will also be provisions for each country to start holding Nationals and having their own qualifier and regional series' tracked through RCOrva.com.

Once the location is secured there will be a preferred hotel. As part of RCOrva, we will be shooting for a group discount wherever we end up. If you register before the location is set, there will be an email sent out with the hotel information and discount to ensure you are kept in the loop.

Being an international driver is not the meal ticket, it is only foreigners that are exempt from qualifying this year. U.S. based international drivers don't get an exception.

Are we being pedantic here?
Who would be an example of a US based International driver?

JohnRobHolmes 06-14-2015 07:57 PM

Re: 2015 RC Crawling Worlds- Las Vegas Sept 11, 12, 13th

Don't know, don't care. Drivers are a group of folks that have beaten on rules for years to find pedantic grey areas. I worded my post exactly how it will be handled. The drivers from Canada will get a meal ticket this year too, even though you are also hosting a recorded series. The series points will collect into an overall driver ranking, so yall will have a years head start for rankings compared to other foreign clubs/ hosts that haven't gotten in the groove.

Las Vegas on the above dates. Book your flights. Hotel rooms will be plentiful and cheap regardless of how far out we all book them. Arrive Thurs with various tire and foam setups for two days of practice and tuning if you like. We have all the info we need at this point. Knowing the GPS coordinates of the comp spot will not drive any decisions at this point if you are committed to attend. If the spot itself impacts your decision to attend, you'll have fence marks on your butt for a just a little while longer.

We are testing the new RC Orva database today, which I was hoping to have enabled before we roll out ticket sales. It has a lot of additional data tracking and features that will make it easier for my end. If it doesn't pass the browser tests, we will go ahead with the regular site sales tomorrow.

Was hoping there might be info on a Designated hotel with a group rate that everyone could stay at. Assume that is impacted on the actual comp location.

Correct, the hotel will be chosen by the comp location. We will send out an email to everyone registered so that they don't miss it, in case tickets are sold before the venue is selected.

Got ORVA rebooted, had some browser compatibility issues to solve.

Site has been settled, the Logandale off road trails. Vegas metro hotel will be the East Side Cannery, and we are working on getting a block of rooms in the Logandale North Shore Inn as well. I'm working on the event creation tonight!

After meeting with the BLM, The Logandale location lept to the forefront of the running for the comp spots available to us. Logistic being the number one concern. Logandale offer an almost endless amount of red sandstone and other types of rock/terrain as well. While it is abit outside of Las Vegas proper, it is still an easy drive. I'll post some pictures here in the thread shortly. 8)

There is a fairly local 48 room hotel, and the East Side Cannery on the north side of Vegas is conveniently located as well. More details and room block information will be announced soon.

Is it September yet??
