Well, that's not too bad, Mike. Only 17 grams difference between the XR and the B2. Change out a few more bolts for alum and maybe run the square corners off the axle casings and you could be close.

Yes I agree Bob,
I think after I change out the 16 socket head screw
Which should drop around 8 to 10 grams.

Not going for a super light truck just want to get it around where I was with the xr or to where the Bully feels comfy

The chassis got here yesterday yeah woohoo

So after takin the wife for dinner and putting the little one to bed I got to putting everything together.

One cool thing about the reptile is it comes put together.

Got everYthing slapped together with my 35t rockstarts til the HH motors get back.
check wheelbase and
Like I inch and bit to short WTF

So long story short berg links don't work with the bully2

But I wanted to get her running,
Slapped a couple jato rod ends on and turned out the rod end a couple turn and were go to go.

Not totally happy but it runs and works perry good.
Going to have to get some new links to make it better and het some more tuning in on it.
Got about 8 batts through it last night.

But need lots more to get her sailed in.
Got pictures will upload later

RTR with the rockstarts motor 4.1lbs
Pretty happy with the starting RTR.

With the HH motor will drop another 3or 4oz's and another oz or two with the narrowed voodoo's and the alum socket heads.

Then to add weight where I need it

Got a comp tomorrow, not expecting to much out of the new rig just yet but will give me good idea of what needs twicking

in my limited experience with bully axles, the berg links would be just barely too short. it usually took 1 turn of each rod end to make it exact.

thats odd that your so much shorter on wheelbase.

build is looking good, I look forward to seeing it all mounted up.

That skid on the reptile chassis is pretty small, I would guess that's why it came up short. Unless you can get specific links for a chassis that's the risk you take, but at least you can adjust with jato rod ends. Should look good, get them pics up and good luck at the comp.

That's the reason. The Reptile skid is only 30mm between lower link holes front to rear. Most other chassis' are 41-43mm.

Yes that was the problem
And I knew I was rolling the dice on the links

But link you said a couple jato's rod ends and I was good to go
Should have those pic's up later or tomorrow and hopefully and video of it's first run
Diffs aren't so new looking anymore

Now onto todays comp

Pulled out a first place win today
Very surprises and super stoked at the same time on how the truck preformed today.

So far super happy on how the truck preformed at the comp, driver did ok.
Need to learn the new truck and its qurks and what not, but for slapping it together friday night and doing alittle tuning sat night I couldn't be happier.

The truck is very close to being dialed in.

Need to clock the rear diff just a bit.
Got hung up acouple times nothing to bad tho.
Need to order so new links, so that I can get rid of the jato rod ends.

The diff are so quite and butter smooth

I think the only thing that bugged me with the truck is it roll over ablity.
But I think when I get my pullers back that will help with that. way more punch and torque than the rockstars

The track width came out at-
10.3/4" front
10.5" rear

Might widen it a bit to where I had my xr 11" front 10 3/4 rear

but I will leave it the way it is for a bit to see how I like it

Front of skid hair over 3"
rear 3.5" at ride height

Full droop 3.5 front
4" rear

Full swat
2" front
2.5" rear

All in all pretty happy so far with the Reptile chassis and the Bully2's.

When the video's get uploaded I will post them up
