I love these axles. I got a decked out set of berg v1's with all the good stuff on 'em I'm thinking about selling so I can get another set of bully 2's. These are the best thing out right now, and it ain't even close. | |

Nice crawlers, I would build my wife a rig if I had any hope of her using it... How are you liking the SLW's over the CF wheels? |

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) The slw wheels are incredible. I love them. The voodoos were super easy to beadlock, the rovers were considerably harder, but the wheels are 100% perfectly engineered and manufactured. Im buying some more asap.

not happy with the wiring (20 gauge), broke a wire going to the battery, got my nordic crawler stuff in, and got destroyed by another guy with a far more capable crawler, so it is time for a complete overhaul. Down to the frame: Who cuts wires this short on the esc's? What is this someone trying to part out a crawler as soon as humanly possible? Anyway, that is the length that the wires were butted up to the 20 gage, so I desoldered them and put 16 gage in place. |

Got some gold voodoo's mounted up front on 6" soft foams and silver rears on medium foams. No comp cut on the foams yet. |

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) Had a blast out there that day. But I got a few upgrades for mine on the way. We both got made look silly in a couple spots the other day. What's in the mail for mine should fix that though. Waiting for Saturday

Well I might be the first to do this on a set of Bully 2's. Ackermann steering with my longer lever arms. Rowdy pretty much stated that the leverage wasn't good enough, and I was eager to believe it because I'm running the big boy 611oz hitec servo at 8 or 9 volts and I'm stalling it out on big rock pullovers using the front drive and steering with the rear in dig. This has happened repeatedly at several specific rocks that I frequent as "standards". Happy to report that the problem is gone, apparently, and my steering feels great with the ackermann on it. I just used a 1/8" aluminum thickness part and gave it a 5 mm extension in the degree plane of perfect ackermann (which is a little less lever arm than had I gone straight out). The links all needed extending and the brass inserts needed to be massaged into the hole of the aluminum to get perfect free no bind steering at rest. I am worried about the tire getting snagged on the nut end though. Tearing up tires ain't fun. Last edited by Master Basher; 05-16-2014 at 07:56 AM. |

At full lock are both wheels turned the same amount?

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) not possible with ackerman and simple tie rod linkage. No is the direct answer. Last edited by Master Basher; 05-15-2014 at 06:44 PM. |

Looks good. I did this to a set of v1 knuckles to reduce the effects of scrub steer. It diminished some of the ill effects and retained the advantage of reach. How much more does the inside wheel turn? Can you post a pic of over head at full steer?

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) I'm super excited. I made a bunch of changes, esc, drag brake, pinion mesh, ackerman, extended steering links, and just went and breezed through ever single "standard" that I have had difficulty or couldn't make. This thing is crawling right now.

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) If the scrub on a B2 bothered me 8* knuckles would be a better solution than Ackerman IMO.

Ackerman is definitely not gonna prevent the steering from stalling. It's definitely the mechanical leverage you gained that helped. Mechanical advantage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

Mine does not get stuck. I run 10 packs through it last weekend without any problems. I used the short robitronics horn in the shortest mounting hole. Full steer lock to lock with the EPA's turned all the way up.

| Re: Master Basher's second Bully build (bully 2) What caster are you running. Im at second from last hole back. I have a theory about that. Mine would only freeze up when I was trying to pull my rig up over a really tall rock ledge. The binding of the front wheels sucking the rig down to the rock in dig would freeze my servo. It doesnt happen now though.
