| 1BadJeepBruiser's RC4WD Trail Finder 2 Now with more Bruiser suspension 3/2
I was one of the lucky RC4WD Team Drivers to obtain the new Trail Finder 2. Awesome box art and packaging printed detailed instructions chassis rails Axles, Trans, Tcase, Wheels and other goodies Cleaned off the work mat, time to do some work! Hardware bags are all nicely labeled Marlin Crawler type sliders With just the right amount of pitch Cross member and leaf mounting points in Chassis assembled radio plate deck super scale looking Tcase Beefy 2 speed transmission Axles and leafs in. I opted for the main leaf and smallest leaf. I worked them in by hand a bit. They feel pretty soft already and should settle in nicely. I might actually have to add extra leaf to the front. For the shocks, I removed the internal spring. I then filled them with some 30WT oil. fronts rears Transmission in getting there! Drive shafts with steel ends I set my steering up to look like a real Toyota high steer with it bolted on top of the knuckles The kit includes 2 different types of hexes. I opted for the narrower hex so I can keep the track with narrow and the tires mostly under the fenders The body set Detailed dash stickers might we see more then one color mold option? quick mock up already dropped bed The goodies everyone has been waiting for! More to come! Last edited by 1BadJeepBruiser; 01-26-2012 at 01:07 PM. |

Do the front axle have clocked knuckles at all to relieve driveline angle or are they at zero with the pumpkin output like the trex 60's?

cool, i can't wait to get one of these, soon. but it looks like the front shocks they included are too long, they look like they are almost at full compression in the pics.

Mike BJB took the Internal Springs out of the Shocks and filled them with 30wt Oil instead to get it riding different. With the Springs inplace it sits alot higher

| Re: 1BadJeepBruiser's RC4WD Trail Finder 2 I've looked at all of the TF2s that you lucky dawgs got your hands on and i'm liking the rear shock mount. It inspires me to come up with something simillar on my scx10. |

Started painting up the body Cab is in primer. I had to wet sand the hood after the can of primer had a fit and dripped excess primer all over the hood I also then sanded out the mold lines in the fender and through some filler on the rear window seams as well. Satin black freshly sprayed on the grill and Yes, we are kicking it old school! The return of the original doody bomb brown scaler !!

I have some plans...Dinky interior with tons of details/modifications. 1.55 Stompers and black 1.55 wagons. Ill probably also recreate the armor in metal. I also plan to hack the front bumper and fenders. Gotta get some rice light bulbs to so I can light this sucker up.
