Took me forever to find a dealer that had OEM carpet in stock for an '83 Mojave, but all the phone calls finally paid off. Fortunately, I didn't end up having to drive too far. Thought it would have come cut to size from the factory, but I guess not. Shouldn't take too long to trim it out before I can start putting things back together.

Finally was able to make more progress on the interior. All that's left to do are the gear shifts, instrument panel, driver and some accoutrements for scale effect. Then it's on to the body.

This looks really, really good. The aging of the all the panels and the color matching are spot on! I think I'm going to try your method of accelerated aging. Excellent job!

Thanks. I have a terrific teacher and sounding board at a LHS. The basic formula is spray with black primer, brush on base coats using acrylics, dry brush acrylics to weather, and spray a satin clear to seal and provide some protection. I'm really pleased with how it's turning out.

Very nice! I'm so glad to see you and tokdl posting updates on your TF2s. I have at least five projects going at the moment and none finished. Mostly waiting for scale items and time to complete a few more things, but then I will have some updates too!

Lol, Alpha Male. Just saw that RC4WD released a D110 Gelande, so looks like I'm going to be running a couple in parallel soon enough.

My first attempt at a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Thinking that the leather looks too thick. Thoughts?Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416452191.644474.jpg

Thanks. It was the 80s. If you didn't have a steering wheel cover, you were just pretendin'...

Exactly! I had one on most of my cars. More so to cover the fact that the steering was falling apart.

Fear not, Alpha. I'm working on a plan B, though it may not be ready until after the holiday. And now you know the dangers of drinking and forum-browsing.

Thanks and glad it's helping. That's what it's all about. I'm going to steal a couple of ideas from tokdl, and I have a few more up my sleeve before all's said and done. I might even borrow from Alpha Male, though I'd never admit it for fear of making his head swell.

Ha! So far since we've been talking about all this styrene, I'm going to see how some seat belt buckles fair out for the bench seat
