The biggest improvement by far though was replacing the stock Twister servo.

How you guys liking those motors these days? Checked and there's a 12T (not enough winds imo) and a 20T version (maybe too slow?) I'm still running stock RC4WD sealed can...it works but meh. Would love bit more torque and wheelspeed while retaining the crawl ability.

I ended up finding a set of door panels for the TF2 on Thingiverse. For the floor and firewall, I cut up some styrene and glued them to the back of the dash and to the bottom of the seat. I then glued on the door panels and painted everything black.

It is kinda of simple and plain, but it now looks like a complete interior and hides the wiring and battery underneath the seat. I plan on adding a shifter and driver later on.

I was getting tired of the mirrors turning every time they would rub up against something, so I cut off the rubber post that goes thru the door and drilled a hole and added a screw and nut. The mirror is solid now and I won't have to worry about the mirrors getting ripped off....

This truck performed great! Super smooth start up and adding the better servo really helped out with the steering. I had a blast driving it! It crawls rocks and terrain very well pulled some lines that I thought a "leafer" would never do!

Yeah my TF2 never fails to amaze me and those who borrow it, get sucked into the world of leaf springs and hardbodies. Wow your interior is sweet and simple, still need to finish mine, might borrow your idea!

Glad to hear motor was improvement, that's a solid go to ESC too. Twister servo, ran mine once just to find out what everybody says about it's true, needs a lot more twist than it gives!

The Reedy 16T has been the perfect match for this rig paired with the HW 1080. IMO for the price and performance it is hard to beat. I think the only other motor/ESC option that I would consider would be the HW Fushion PRO. It has been a fantastic combo in my other rigs.

Thanks! The interior was super simple to make and came out perfect for what I wanted. I still need to mount a shifter and a Tamiya Bruiser driver.

No doubt on the Twister! Didn't twist enough for me either!

Glad you brought this thread back to life! This rig has been sitting in the garage too long and now makes me want to give'r a wash and get it back out on the trails!
