Took a little engineering and some thought processing, but finally I stuffed dual 7.4 5000mah 30c lipos under the seats of the exo. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1358484878663.jpg

Now before anyone starts crying that I'm running 4 cell I'm not. I'm running them parallel for 7.4 60c and 10,000 mah so I mite finish a heat.
Well I'm all finished wrenching. Can't wait to get them dirty.

I am coming un-corked for the RECON G6 Terra-X.

I hope ya'll don't mind rubbin' a little lexan with a racer that has fast in his name...

That's right, racers. The Official Bearings of the RECON G6 & RECON G6 Terra-X, Fast Eddy Bearings, will be shredding up the Terra-X track. I just want to know how many classes will we be seeing this seasoned racer line up in.

It's fast and it's real and it just got real, fast!

OH MY, this is going to be FUN!!!

Great question,

There will not be any standing water, llike we had at the Superlift Southern Showdown G6 & the go fast classes, the exo terra buggy and the sc classes, will have a different track lay out than the rest.

Show up when the doors open and take advantage of the practice times for your class(s) and gear up or down. Tune shocks, change tires, unless your running the Official Tire of the RECON G6 Terra-X, Pit Bull Tires. Then just keep your review mirror clean so you don't think your on the track by yourself...

The RECON G6 Terra-X is a new r/c racing experience. It's fun for racers and spectators alike. The Axial Exo Terra Buggy is right at home on a terra-X track and it's surprising how competitive your RECON G6 Adventurist 1.9 is to race!!!

Just double checking the list...

- Hand selected rocks for the best RECON G6 Terra-X Racers....Check.
- Mezzanine for racers to have an "outta track experinence"...Check.
- Permit from FAA for Terra Buggies and SC trucks to fly at high altitudes...Check.
- 3 tons of sand...Check.
- 30 gallon propane tank for lexan melting fire finish line straight.
- 18 go go dancing turn marshalls...Chhhheeeeeyeeeeaaaaahhhh RIGHT!!! (That's for the RECON G6 Terra-X Nationals, BABY!!!!! )

Sounds good.

See ya'll tomorrow. Drive safe, God Speed, and for those racers that are about to make history; Shake and Bake, Biscuit cutters it's RECON G6 Terra-X time!

The RECON G6 Terra-X made its indoor debut at Traction Raceway & Hobbies in Reno, NV. With pogo nip, cool fog, blanketing the Northern Nevada valleys like the uncertainty of what to expect from a RECON G6 Terra-X. G6'ers and racers filled the Traction Raceway and Hobby shop; it became evident what to expect, racing and a lot of it.

Of course, with obstacles like the "Outta Track Experience" & Clickity Clack Corner; the racing was going to be just a tad bit different than the normal day at Nevada's largest indoor r/c clay race track.

Terra-X racers had several classes to choose from or race in all of them if they wanted to, because corner marshals are provided at a RECON Terra-X race. Two of the RECON G6 Terra-X classes derive straight from the RECON G6. They are the 1.9 & the 2.2 classes. G6'ers brought their Adventurist G-Rides out to race and others brought their 2.2, err training wheel G-Rides to the track. It was cool, some racers did some "race prep" to better prepare for the days racing action.

The Go-Phast Classes in the RECON G6 Terra-X at Traction Raceway included the Axial Exo Terra Buggy and SC 2wd/4wd trucks. OH MY, did they get some air time.

You see, what makes a RECON G6 Terra-X race so unique, is that there are two tracks in one. Depending on what class is racing, depends on what track version they race on. The Go-Phast class gets to stretch the legs on their brushless systems and blow a shock or two as they launch 20 to 40 feet at an altitude of 8 to 12 feet. The 1.9 and 2.2 classes faced rock gardens, mud pits, and faux grass hill climbs.

The racing consisted of 2, 8 minute heat races for the 1.9 / 2.2 classes and a 12 min main and the Go-Phast class raced 2 heats at 10 minutes each and had a 15 minute main. Attrition was the word for the day and most racers kept their trucks together. I was amazed at the talent that everyone had. Every race was very competitive and by the roar of the spectators, racers in every class made some new fans.

Some of the highlights of the day included, Dan W. and the Wraith. Heat one, Dan piloted one of the toughest Wraiths built around the track with a driver side front wheel, free spinning. Then in heat race 2, The Wraith had only the front passenger wheel pulling. Dan W. raced with one wheel drive. Werty was launching HUGE air and almost down siding a 45ft quad! He greneded a passenger side shock and still finished the heat.Having Team Vanquish in the house was a highlight. Jim, Elio, Dan, & the latest r/c force to be reckoned with; RECON G6 Ultra phenom, Mike Pham. For sure, a highlight any day of the week is the talented Andrew Rocha. This kid can flat out drive! It must be in the school milk, because another driver that was amazing to watch race was Katin Meeks. He piloted a Team Associated B4.1 in the Go-Phast class with authority! Just impressive, the new school of r/c racers coming up through the ranks.

Another highlight was Ed Knapp racing a bone stock Axial Jeep JK Rubicon to the podium in the 1.9 Class.

Congrats to everyone who came out and raced in the first indoor RECON G6 Terra-X. Here are your podium finishers.

Go-Phast Class
1. Andrew Rocha - Team Associated SC10 4x4
2. Chris Meeks - Axial I.S. Wraith
3. Steven Shafe - Axial Exo Terra Buggy

1.9 Class
1. Mike Morris - scx10 Subaru
2. Matt Soileau - scx10 Honcho
3. Ed Knapp - scx10 Jeep JK Rubicon

2.2 Training Wheel Class
1. Scott Anthony - Axial Wraith
2. Gary Nicholson - Axial Wraith
3. Dave Morgan - Axial Ridgecrest

Thank you to Axial Racing. Vanquish Products. Team Fast Eddy Bearings. Pit Bull Tires. Mad Skins. Krawler Koncepts. Crawler Innovations. Pull Pal.

And a Special Thank You to Traction Raceway and Hobbies for hosting round 1 of the 2013 RECON G6 Terra-X. Be sure to be a part of the next RECON G6 Terra-X that is near you and qualify for the 2013 RECON G6 Terra-X Nationals to be held in October.

A very special "THANK YOU" to Cirby Chitty, Allen's wife for the awesome pictures that capture all the fun of a RECON G6 Terra-X.

When your ready to take your racing to the next level or get your 1.9 G-Ride / Scaler out on the track, we will see you at the next RECON G6 Terra-X race.

More veiwing pleasure from Cirby Chitty or Mrs Rangair94.

If you didn't pick a good line every lap through the sand trap, it was almost certain that you would be passed or worse.

Not all buggy racers are wussies. Young gun Katin Meeks put the "phast" in the Go-Phast Class racing his TA B4.1.

Here 3rd place finisher Dave Morgan, shows that AR60 OCP Axles under his newly built G-Ride wearing the new 2.2 Pit Bull RB II's can make short work of a RECON Terra-X track.
