thank you very much!! if you have acces to what you need to braze, (i just use my torches with a small brazin tip) go get some materials, 3/16" brake line,1/2" square tubin, and some 1/8" brazin rods and give it a try...honestly not countin my time or the gas i used in my torches, i have only about $30 in this chassis

so you are using tube rather then rod for teh cage? i guess that would cut down on weight alot, i was thinking solid rod. is there any flex at all? i suppose it would dent and ding like the real thing too.

yes 3/16" steel brake line(it's about $7 for a 5 foot stick from any parts store)and yes it's alot lieghter than solid rod, although i did use solid rod for the stinger, figured it will take alot abbuse....no flex at all, aint bent it yet but we havent put it through the paces yet but i have seen others on here that are bent and tweaked a little....it does have more of a reallistic sound when you scrape the sliders and stinger on the rocks

well with all the electronics in it, it weighs in rite at 5.5 lbs and pulls itself around and over the rocks as easily as it did in stock form as far as power, there is no real noticable difference....it is a xt model with 390's and 8 tooth pinions

well i took the boy's truggy to work with me today and fooled with it some after work,(i work at an asphalt plant, so there's alot of places to crawl)crawled up and down some rock/asphalt piles and some wash outs. it does really well for as high as it sits at the moment. but it does drive alot different(more like a scaler), as in you have to pic and choose your lines alot more carefully now, but over all i'm very satisfied with it myself. we are plannin on takin them both out this weekend, and after he gets to drive it a bit more, i'm sure we will tweak on it some

i'm not real sure of the exact model but it's not one of the pipe benders, it's made for bending solid rod and flat stock. i will see if i cant maybe get a part/model # today or tomorrow

alrite doc here it is got out today and got a pic. this is the floor style, but they do offer it in a bench top model also, and they do sale dies just for 1/2" square tubin but i just used the dies that it comes with, just take yoyr time and dont get in a hurry hope this helps! it is a little pricey, bout $80, but you can build to sets of fraim rails out of a 3 or 4 foot $5 stick of tubin, which is about what you would spend on 2 scx frames and you can make more after that and that's all profit from then on

almost fogot the pic
