Exclamation moa tundra truggy build

me and my son r workin on a tundra truggy using rs10 axles and all the stock suspension and 2.2 flat irons will try and get some pics posted tonite

here is the start of the main chassis it is made of 1/2" square tubing from lowes bent on a bender from harbor freight for bending flat and solid stock then sliced in half with a cut off wheel

couple flex shots front and rear set up in full droop for now we done some testing with another chassis with this set uo hopefully it want need much tweekin when its done

he is going for the scale look wants to have full interior and all but he likes the flex of a comp style thats why the rear shocks leaned forward so much and it will have a dig switch ihave one on mine and he loves it anyway we just beat on these crawlers for pure enjoyment so we have no bounderies

wow sounds good im doing the same thing lol quik tip why no put pen springs in side the shocks for semi droop soft suspention yet has lots of flex and drives more like the real thing

body mounts installed used the same 3/16 brake line that will be used to build the cage out off and use the mounting holes in the body

body mounted think we will pie cut the front frame horns and turn them up so they stick out right under the grill like 1:1 does will make a nice place to mount the winch he wants and a front bumper

we ran limiting straps from the chassis to the top link mount on each axle on the test rig to limit torque rap u get when running droop

yea we looked at several truggy builds before we started this and i do like the bta steering that is how i have mine but this is more scale and thats the look he wants going to try and do the best we can with the look using moa axles

well the boy is home from school i got the sliders and rear frame tubes and bumper done today while i was off (it has rained all day and that knocks me out of work) and my son had already xplained how he wanted them we r fixin to get started on the "truggy" part may have pics tonite

yea he aint but 13 and i would let him braze and all but he just really dont want to try it just yet but he will one day so 4 now he tells me what he wants we look it over and do it but i enjoy the building more than the playing
