Default Comp legal with the stock hummer body?

I read in the competition rules section that a legal body in 2.2 must be at least 12.5 inches long. I, like most guys here, have chopped the body up to less than 12" total.

I see some of you guys comp-ing with the body on. Are you getting flack for size?

For example, This is the brushles guy in palenas. Not the U.S., but neither am I (canada). This guy comps with this thing and it should be about 11 1/4 inches where it sits. Are the rules that different in different countries? Or do they just not enforce this very much?

rules are decided by the event organizer, the guy in victoria that does the comps there has the goofiest set rules i've ever heard, so I don't bother going there for comps, the group I crawl with in Nanaimo follow USRCCA rules, we havn't really got a comp scene going yet, but were slowly getting there, we kinda got the ball rolling at the end of least season.
it's a well written easy to follow set of rules that the majority of crawlers know and follow, so thats what we stuck with.

(if I was to host a comp, I would let you comp that body to get a feel for "competition" type crawling, and if it were something you wanted to persue I would strongly encourage you to get your rig into spec)

Allright then. If I ever do comp this thing, it was going to be with you guys in nanaimo anyways. I guess you hang with the NitroRC boys down there? When you do get a comp going, send me the info. I'll come out for it for sure.

I usually run hard plastic bodies from old toy-grade rc's, just cuz they'r cheap and look cool. But obviously I would run a lexan body for a comp. haven't found one I like yet.
