| Comp legal with the stock hummer body?
I read in the competition rules section that a legal body in 2.2 must be at least 12.5 inches long. I, like most guys here, have chopped the body up to less than 12" total. I see some of you guys comp-ing with the body on. Are you getting flack for size? |

rules are decided by the event organizer, the guy in victoria that does the comps there has the goofiest set rules i've ever heard, so I don't bother going there for comps, the group I crawl with in Nanaimo follow USRCCA rules, we havn't really got a comp scene going yet, but were slowly getting there, we kinda got the ball rolling at the end of least season. it's a well written easy to follow set of rules that the majority of crawlers know and follow, so thats what we stuck with. (if I was to host a comp, I would let you comp that body to get a feel for "competition" type crawling, and if it were something you wanted to persue I would strongly encourage you to get your rig into spec) Last edited by fred0000; 01-28-2012 at 09:14 PM. |

Allright then. If I ever do comp this thing, it was going to be with you guys in nanaimo anyways. I guess you hang with the NitroRC boys down there? When you do get a comp going, send me the info. I'll come out for it for sure. I usually run hard plastic bodies from old toy-grade rc's, just cuz they'r cheap and look cool. But obviously I would run a lexan body for a comp. haven't found one I like yet. |
