| HD's Redcat "comp" Redo "Lady Luck"
I had named my tuber "lady Luck" but decided to do a identity swap, so decided to take apart my Redcat Jeep to build a all out crawler. I started with my Redcat axles with the stock 390 motors and a Axial XR10 chassis. I stole the S&S high clearance delrin links from my tuber build and paired them up with some unknown delrin front links. First step was a BTA mod. I drilled new holes in the stock servo bracket. I had to drop the linkages below the front links and work out a short small link to connect my Robotronics servo horn to my Hitech servo. At this point, I was trying to figure out my link setup. I think I got at this point. 130mm rear shocks??? I got my beadlocks done. Painted the outer rings with Candy red paint, and mounted my HB white dot Rovers on these AXial beadlocks. 4oz weight in each front and 2oz on each read wheel. From this poiint all I have left to do is mount up my shocks and instal my electronics. The shocks have been a royal pain, I'm having to experiment back and forth with em. But I'll get them figured out. Any input or advise? |

Lookin good I haven't seen anyone use that chassis yet and I like the delrin links. How high are you gonna have the Bottom of your shassis for clearance. I am curious cause I am finishing a similar deal and I got mine at 3 ish inches and I am wonderinf it its too low. I just don't wanna monster truck it. Also which body are you going to use? Lookin' good! |

Yup, about 3 inches. I forgot to add the pic of the wheels... The Jeep chassis is gonna set on the bench. I may end up rebuilding the Jeep into a full on scaler with this Scorpion I have coming in, not sure yet. Depends on if my daughter decides to get into crawling or not I suppose. I traded to get the Axial for her, hopefully she'll appreciate it. As far as body goes, I'm going to use a Axial hardline body. Everything is going to be poker themed if you couldnt tell from the wheels, its all about a lil luck getting it up this mountain at my buddies house. |

I bought the links off here. Seller said they were SS links. As for the front links, I have no clue who made em. I bought them off here as well.

Well, here she is. I'm still waiting on my body to get here for it. I'm going with the Axial Hardline shell. Here are some are some pics. I changed out the servo to a Towerpro and went back to the Robottonics servo horn. The plastic one was shorter and therefor killed my turning radius. Bottom view: Balancing act: Great ground clearance. Almost enought to stand the can up undernieth. The articlulationn seems to be spot on. Its raining now, so I'll have to try it out another time. |

come on down then. I've got a few places around here to crawl. Still no body pics. The tape I used for window masking left residue so I couldnt paint the windows last night.

I picked up a basher body from foratm. Used some dot4 to strip it and painted her up black with red windows. I've picked up a new one that will be nice. Got some good ideas in mind for the theme. |
