| Need help, not responding.
Hi I'm new to this forum, I got the RS10 for my daughter for Christmas. I had a few problems, but I replaced the servo and a connecting link for the servo. Now it just doesn't want to respond, the fan does come on, fully charged batteries, I have 3; new batteries in the remote. Could this be the reciver or they both have to be synced? I don't have the manual anymore. Can someone help. I have searched by the way where several people say check the manual but I don't have the manual and can't find where to download it on Redcatracing.com thankyou. |

The RS10 manual is available here Manuals The XT is very similar except the suspension linkages are changed If you have a 2.4 GHz TX there is a one page addition about how to bind that radio. I couldn't find it on line. the basic procedure is... With everything switched off. 1. press and hold the bind key on the RX and switch the truck power on 2. continue holding the bind key unless the blue light flashes 3. press and hold the SEL button on the TX and switch the TX power on 4. press and release the bind key on the RX again - thins enables the fail safe The radio should bind the RX is the little box that says 2.4ghz Receiver That all said... things to check As you have replaced the servo, are you sure you hooked up the new servo correctly. If not it should only make the steering not work but you could have disturbed something else Are all the control leads plugged into the RX and well seated. Does the blue RX light flash when the the TX is off and go on solid when the TX is on. The RX gets its power from the ESC (the thing with the heatsink and fan) via that control lead so if that connection is not made then the RX cannot work |

Thanks! After binding it I did get a little response, after a little more digging it turns out the rear servo (the one I didn't replace) was shorting out the wires at the unit. I cut and resodered the wires now I have full control back. Thanks for the info and the manual download link.
