Cool project Hillbilly Deelux

a whole plethora of pics of "Hillbilly Deelux" my greatest feat to date: the parma 2nd gen dodge ram quad cab body painted, mounted, and ready to roll. just need the electronics to hurry and get here so i can start filming her with her new body on. shes now officially a mini of Ol' Betsy, my 01 cummins.

You need to get a photo bucket account to host your photos.

electronics came in. unfortunately the 3s esc and batteries i have to run it will have to wait because the stock remote and receiver cant be calibrated to match any esc other than the stock esc. im keeping my eye out for a futaba 4pl. heard wonderful things about this remote and receiver.

Really? I know the RS10XT RX and TX have special relationship but I'm surprised that the ESC has anything specific going on. Where did you hear about this?

check out overkill RC, they have pre-hacked gt3b's, or the kit to hack your own.

I have a GT3B that I've allready been using with my other cars,
it's a great set, my only gripe is the reverse curl part of the trigger breaks easy if you're not careful,
I just found a replacement trigger on ebay, so it's all good.
-anyways, the hack is definitely one of my next upgrades,..after new tires..

Just noticed you put a photobucket link up,
nice dude I like the dodge body & the siped tires.

Good idea on modding the remote to use the stick pack, how much run time are you getting on that?

I run through two 5000mah 2s lipos before the remote gets even close to running out.

Just hacked my Gt3B, night and day difference. I now have it flashed as a six channel. Dig, lights, winch, front steering, the esc and an open channel for what ever. One of the best investments you can make in inexpensive radio gear. Also look into the upgraded voltage regulator and steering wheel shaft ball bearing mods. Great radio for the money.
