After playing with the intake in SolidWorks I can get another .100" clearance under the hood. That will be enough to make it "look" better...

Before...

After a little re-machining I will do tomorrow...

Edit...
Sorry for the crappy pics, I will fix them tomorrow as well

Maybe a modern EFI version of an old Chrysler Cross Ram? So I guess this is a big block Ford judging by the exhaust port placement?

Friggin' awesome work! Loving this...

Thanks guys. As far as what the engine is modeled after, I kinda kept it nondescript in order to mod it to look like whatever I feel like. With the amount of time it took to machine this thing I wanted to change it in the future without having to re-cut the block.

The intake is modeled after this...

But with a little more angle to keep the runners under the hood. On the exhaust, I am going to have to go with a cleaner looking version of this...

...you know, the more I look at the top end of this motor the more it looks out of place. I think it is time for a re-do. Bummer

For the headers it may be worth trying the method of freezing a soapy water inside the brass tubes and bending them. It is supposed to give the maderal bend look then.

I think you are right on the top end though

Ya, that is the plan for the headers. I think I tried to hard on the intake, simple may be better in this case.

I'd hate to see you remake the whole intake. But if you do, maybe just make it look like a carb? Then it could be a carb setup, propane, throttle body injection, etc. without any changes. Just a thought.

That intake has already been placed on the "oops" shelf. I am going back to my original setup. Hopefully I can show you guys some pictures soon.

How much room (width and depth) do you you have for the fan motor? I assume its going in the water pump/timing cover?

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I eye-balled it and it looked good. Once I have the oil pan done I will get into that more.
