Put these 1.55's on it with one of the shorter tires.

Looks good Kev. You gonna paint it back the same color?
Chops I think a new ESC is in the works before those wheels. They would fit the rover perfect but damn they are pricey.
Have any of you guys used the flatirons on the rocks? Do they suck?
The reason I ask is that I may put the 1.55's on the FJ and use the black wheels with the flatirons on the Chevy. Just a thought.

I think I'll probably paint it a different color.
Jason I had the Rok Loxs on when I first got there. The truck wouldn't climb up that one flat faced rock, I awitched over to my old Flat Irons and it walked right on up. So I sold the Rok Lox!

Glad to hear that about the tires. The Chevy may be running flatirons then. I think a chocolate brown would look good on the yota with a black grill.

You can also cut the flatirons if you are willing to loose some of the scale look. Check in the MRC section and search for butchered flatirons. Everyone that has done that mod LOVES them.

I like it. The steelies look at home on the FJ and the CAC's look great under that new body style Chevy.

Im with Kevin that swap brings out the best in both rigs. The seem to match scale better. I thought the 1.5s looked small on the chevy in the earlier pics.

Yeah that does look good for both. I still think the Chevy is a bit too tall though. Maybe open the fenders a bit and drop it down some.

Put some time in on the trucks and I pretty much had to redo each one just to change wheels/tires. When I put the 1.55's on the FJ they were way out of center with the wheel well. So I made some new body mounts and got it all squared away. Also the FJ was in need of some lube so I took apart the tranny, axles, and rebuilt the shocks while I was at it. Still sounds like a tank but its a lot smoother. On to the Chevy. I agree with Chops it was riding a lil high so I figured out how to mount it to the chassis and now it sits about a half inch lower. I really dont like the flatirons on it at all though. I am just a fan of tires with a directional tread and the flatirons kinda look like they would fit a jeep better. But both are ready to step out with the new shoes. I appreciate all of the comments and suggestions that you guys had. It helped a LOT. Thanks.

The new wheels look great, BUT i think the Chevy would look better with some Bling/Silver rims on it. Have a look at these...

I happen to have a set of Brand New RockSolids that i would be down to trade you Straight up for. Just a thought...

Damn! $120! You must really want these wheels. They arent really doing it for me though. Im pretty much anti-bling. But bring em with you next time we meet up and I may change my mind once I see them on the truck. I do need some 2S li-pos if anybody wants the Rover body or some stock axial 1.9's.

Yeah they are some bad ass wheels, just dont really fit my truck at all. Ive never had a set or wheels go together so easy, ill bring them next time. You could always paint em flat black...
