Welcome Tj. Theres allot of guys on here that have those comp crawlers. So advice shouldn't be a problem. Fist time pasting a link so correct me if I'm wrong. RCCrawler Brand Specific Tech - Team Losi Comp Crawler at RCCrawler.com has some builds, tricks and mods just for the losi. All the info you can handle in there.

Welcome! I would recommend Lipo batteries. Check out the losi section for specific info. The search button is your friend.

Come to a competition...you'll get the most useful/practical information there You can't beat having 10-20 like minded people all hanging out together the same day. Many of those people have either had or still have Losi based crawlers so you should be able to get some good information. If you're interested in attending the next comp, which is on Jan. 26th, send me a PM!

Welcome!

I completly agree. Im new to rc crawling but ive picked up a few things already Lipo is the way to go! Our stock esc's can handle 2 cell lipo (lithium polymer) battery. Ditch the weight of that old Nimh (Nickle metal hydrate) battery for a lower cog (center of gravity).
