i am buying a scx10 but i dunno witch one??? need help!!!

I finally have the $400 in hand for my scx10 just dunno witch one to get. I know I want rtr but other then that doesn't matter to me. I just dunno why the price varies so much just because the bodies are different or is there more then just the bodies? I have my eye on the new jeep Rubicon 4dr white body with the led light bars stock and a few other goodies but i really would like some help deciding I'll be ordering from tower hobbies they have best price I could find or if someone knows a better place let me know thanks in advanced

I would buy the rubicon kit. That way you can build it. It's also not painted therefore you can personalize it yourself. There's always a satisfaction if you will to building and finishing any project. Plus you get the aluminum links along with the aluminum upgraded shocks. Take the remaining balance and buy some decent electronics, don't forget about the bec .

I bought a dingo kit myself, put it together in about 3 1/2 hours hand tightening everything but it felt good cause I knew everything was tight and greased the way I wanted . Good luck in your decision. We are here for support if you have any additional questions

I would still stick with the scx for your first scaler, its a proven truck that performs awesome

which lol born and raised in the south all I can say haha but thanks a lot guys! I would go with the kit but me and my girl had our first son 3 weeks ago, so room in our apt got real tight real quick. I couldn't have parts laying around . slash, sprint 2, and rs10 already taking up a lot of room. I am going to look more into the vaterra thanks man!

I like the G6 jeep. But I think its only sold in kit form. Then put the swamper XL tires on it and you have a competitive rig out the box.

RTR Rubicon either the Silver Jk or the White CR version is the way to go if you dont want to do a kit (G6 all the way for the kit). Each has a few different minor tweaks such as shocks and such, Mainly its body differences.

The SCX10 is a awesome vehicle that can be transformed to many different styles, Had a RS10 for my first Crawler/Scaler it was a good truck but then moved to the SCX10 and WOW. got two of em now

Nice man, any of the SCX's will do you just fine.. However, I personally wouldn't pay the extra 50-60$ for the C/R edition.. Most people think the lights and cool body is worth it but it's most definitely not. They are a rather inexpensive/cheap light system, and for the difference you could spend on a true "LED light bar" ex.(VP,MadDogRC,MORE,CrawlerDadLED's,etc). If you are buying on TowerHobbies it will already be a wait until later this month for the C/R as well.. I would check out RPP hobby and look into the discounts/free shipping/coupons they have to offer. You can get a new SCX10 Deadbolt RTR for 300$ shipped on there, not to mention if you spend the extra 50$ (350$ purchases can utilize a 25$ coupon code @ the top). I really like all the newer SCX10 models, it just seems they want a lot more now because most of them are "Jeep" related..

*Also keep in mind if you do get a kit/roller for $225-250 the extra $100 or so can go towards the electronics/body/accessories you "personally" want on there. Then remember to use the coupon code for 25$ off as well!

Thats what we did, got the wife a deadbolt (comes with 32pitch gearing so thats a plus) for cheap and then did a few aftermarket mods myself and got a land cruiser 80 body for it. its clean and she loves it.

Thanks soo much! The only reason I wanted it is because I thought the body and lights made It worth the extra cash. I am going to see how much just the kit and ESC motor combo will run me I dunno if I can get it all with 400 and my girl will kill me if I spend any more lol I'm trying to have a scale rig ready for that early September gtg

i couldn't decide so it came down to a coin toss and this one won TowerHobbies.com | Axial 1/10 SCX10 '12 Wrangler Rubicon RTR w/Free Batt I was going to get this one TowerHobbies.com | Axial 1/10 SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 Falken 4WD RTR but it didn't have a rear bumper and from what I read about the comp rules you have to have a front and rear bumper and I really want to go to comps plus it loss the coin toss I also used the coupon code and out the door 341 shipped rtr im happy and caint wait for it to get here!

What battery does it include? Also, are your planning on running ni mh or lipo?
