looks awsome for a supergay
i would roll the front axel back a bit to give it some more negative caster it looks like it might push a bit when cranked

So how does she run. You've got to be done with this thing if not real damn close.

Are you kidding. Jeremy found the money to build this thing in his couch cushions. Thats how the Stanhope-Chavez family rolls.

o.k. got the front steering done.

i did notice a little play in the axle/knuckle area that was making the steering want to bind because the axle was moving in and out of the axle tube. a quick o-ring and problem solved.

took her out for the maiden voyage today and all i can say is WOW!!

when i compare it to my clod based car, well there is no comparison my clod felt like i was trying to drive a semi through the rocks. this thing is extremely manuverable and works very similiar to my duece duece beetlejuice.

i will get some more pics of the car tomorrow

Are you running a servo syncronizer on the front or not?

A guy I work with is way into big planes and he says it's not needed, just make sure your linkages are set right and you'll be good.

Just trying to decide what to do on my build.

They are just wired with a y connector. He just had to build the steering links so there is no bind when they are centered. I would think the servo sync would be a good idea on a plane that would not fly right if they got out of sync, but a crawler should be fine without it.

How about a steering shot from above? And when I cut up some rovers for my super a while back they did that same wavey shit, I had to stuff it full of foam to get most of it to go away.

I will get some steering shots up in the morning. As far as the tires I got the foams figured out and the tires look and work a lot better.

i would really consider getting a matchbox! a Y harness and digital servos is not a good thing at all! i'm sure you have your steering set up perfect but the servo's themselves will never swing in sync with out it! those are some pretty spendy servo's and i'm sure you dont want one to go up in smoke!

they seem to be working fine now that i have the linkages adjusted perfectly. you do have a valid point and will look into the syncronizer. like i said before i didn't know anything about them.

looking into them it looks as if the futaba msa-10 would be the one to go with though.

Like I posted above, a buddy of mine that flys big planes with multiple servos per surface says that the synchronizers are a waste of money. He said as long as you get all the linkages setup right so that the servos aren't buzzing while sitting there you are fine.

Though I know you guys up there in the PNW have some experience with this. I remember Spidermonkey running 2 servos on each end of a super, and I know John does as well.

I know there is an issue with Johns synchronizer now though, with it powering up right?

I like the steering...but I wonder why you did not raise the servos just a bit so the linkage was more high clearance/straight across?
man I wish they ran supers in our local clubs:-( I would build one forsure!
