hey, i gotta ask. did you cut that with a CNC, or by hand. and if by hand how did you get all the edges so clean? i have cuts lots of CF and have yet to get an edge anywhere near what you have.

IF YOU PLAN ON DOING THIS..MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SHOP VAC AND MASK ON. I always have the shop vac about 1" away from the cutting tool as to not have the CF dust floating around...you dont want to breathe that shit in!!!

It was done using a hand held dremel. first I emboss the design onto the CF and punch all the holes. then drill two holes and sandwich two pieces together. then I use a dremel cut off wheel to get the basic shape leaving about 1/8" - 1/16" of material outside the line. then I use the dremel sanding drum like a router and go along the edges. I have done alot of pieces like this and it definitely takes some practice.

cool. only reason i dont use the dremmel is because of all the dust it makes. i used a hack saw when i cut out my plates on my SC truck, (link in sig) and used a drill press for all the holes. one thing i couldnt stay away from was having little fibers around all my holes.

did you do your holes with the dremmel and a very high RPM? is that why they are all so clean?

dremel + high rpm + carbon fiber= eye patch.I would find someone with a CNC machine, but that's my opinion.

Haven't needed to do anything to it...it's working better than I could have ever imagined. I have a pair of BRXL's sitting on the bench to put in it, but I just havent had the time.

I'm probably gonna give it some snazzy body panels and I want to try that mod that Dlux did to his tubes to run the axial clockable C's.

I'll dust it off and start working on it soon
