I think it's going to hold up great JB. I've totally trash on my XR and it handles 4s and 15 turns great! even with me doing the Full trigger pulls.

stay away from the TI shafts tho.

I think the upper mount might be a problem because I've had a few problems with the softer metal on the VP axle housing. you might need to brace it up by hooking it to more holes when you build the mount.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jim!
Ya, watching what your rig handles, I figured the Super XR has a chance with my gentler driving style!

No Ti shafts for me, I've seen several fail.

I'll have to look at my mounting options if I do like the rear upper link mount that high up, I do agree.

Thanks Malach!
It was a picture of your rig that really got me working on this thing!

You've had yours going for awhile now, any reports of parts not holding up to bigger tires?
Or anything you might have done different, if you had to do it again?
Any insights are welcome for sure!

My new solder station showed up last night, so possibly tonight or Saturday I'll have it all wired up and rolling.
Getting excited to run it, a few local Super drivers were thinking about a GTG on Sunday, just hoping I have it ready by then!

It's heavy and steering knuckles suck along with the CV shafts.

I would rather use a XR case because I have more faith in the setup i'm using on my 2.2 and just scale it up.

I fully trust the xr axle shafts they seem to hold up to my TTC rig on 6s and 1/8 scale system.

Ya, I understand what your saying Jim, same reasons Dave switched to Berg...
Man, Marc (moes670) is going to hate me with all the requests for housing tubes he is getting...

Going over to Brian's (Infectious R/C headquarters ) today with Dave (diamond d) to hopefully get some things done, including wiring this sucker up!
Need to get it done for some run time/tweaking on it tomorrow.

Well, it was together and running Sunday night.
I hope to get pictures up tonight of how the electronics fit.

I didn't have any time last night, was too busy helping EddieO get a few things done for Nats!

Kinda fat at 6lbs 8oz., near as I can figure right now (one axle at a time level with the scale, mine only reads up to 5lbs. ).
That is with 6.5oz of knuckle weight (4 SS VP slugs + a D-Lux XR knuckle weight) on each side.

I haven't done anything to the cases to lose any weight yet, that is my next goal while I try tuning the suspension.
