| Hex weight things I saw in some thread
A while back, i saw a pic of a clod with brass (i think it was brass) weights right next to the wheels hexes. I can't seem to find the thread anymore (although I will admit I didn't look very hard). I was wondering where one might get these, and if they have any benefits over the standard wheel weights.

I've ran across posts with guys running custom machined knuckle weights...very cool. Honestly I think there is big downside to running something along those lines, lack of adjustability. I run a simple and very effective setup much the same as others run, very easy to +/- weight as needed per the terrain. Stick on lead wheel weights. They conform pretty well, and let you put the weight where you want it. Last edited by WarMachine; 10-05-2009 at 05:33 PM. Reason: img fix |

The credit for the knuckle weights has to go to Kamikaze..I copied him...Looks for any build threads of my rig in this section and you'll see them. I made mine out of 1/2" plate steel and cut them out with a hacksaw, grinder and files. They were a total PITA to make. If you know somebody with access to a cnc plasma cutter...your in good shape! Much needed hustler updates... No More Hustler...CUSTOM TVP FOR WORLDS Last edited by TURBOFEST; 10-05-2009 at 09:36 PM. |

Grover wasthe First to use the Knuckles for holding weight. He used the SubC batteries instead of lead.

I have no issues wth my Knuckle weights not being adjustable. We just cut them to big the first time and started taking weight off untill we had what we wanted. Now they are finished and on my Super there is no need to change weight. |

Just offering my POV and an alternative. I figured if your just getting a rig setup, your going to be doing quite a bit of dialing in...was (and still is) the case for me. | |
