The ziptie is connected to a servo that pulls the motor real tight, making the motor not roll because of the major tight mesh!

Why? 3 of us used it today at the Comp on our 2.2 Clods. None of us had any issues with the rig wanting to keep rolling when the dig was in effect. There is enough drag in the gear case and at the motor to effectivly hold the rig there for that 5 seconds you need the dig. Also adding CVD's to the front really help too, that tighter turning radius makes the dig even more impressive.

Setting up a brake system could be done but so far the 3 of us that are running it don't see a need for it.

You smoke too much wacky-tobacky.... it's obvious you can't read either. The servo is zip-tied to the motor.

Oh, I misread that! I know I smoke too much wacky-cracky!
heres a the new version of my thinking!

The servo is on the motor, ziptied down, there is a cable on the servo horn that is connected to a mount, link mount, 3rd link mount, etc, and the servo horn pulls the motor inwards making the mesh tight! LOL that was the same idea, just different point of view!

Interesting, I had no success with cutting the power to the motor with out locking up the wheels. My front end would just pull the rear along with it (no dig). I guess I will have to go try your method out and see if it works any better than my current setup.

That is a great idea. Nice and simple.

When I get my 2.2 Clod built (next 14 days) I will show everyone a way that this can be done using any Stock TQ3 or similar, but much more effectively then this, and for only $20ish.

I am not ready to say how I will do it till I test it, so I need to build a Truck (I only have my Unlimited Clod and a bunch of TLTs right now and the setup will not work on those)

After Moab. I work 6 days a week, still at work as I type... we are in the process of moving so the last thing on my mind to the RC's, okay well not really but it should be.

Let me finish putting my front axle back together.

Your gay. I thought of it, I am king.

Naw.... I'm to much of a push over, Hackster is the master at cheap tricks. This is his idea, although I never actually saw it in person before I installed mine, just a quick description over the phone. His works much better than my 30 second booty fabbed up setup.

Are you coming by my work tomorrow? I want to compare tan lines.

I am going to try to swing by this afternoon. Time is really tight. Gotta go to the dump, get the jeep off the trailer, then get the toyota ready to go to head to mogfest tomorrow.

Hope fully I can swing by, if not Ill get the stuff to you on friday.

Cool?

Are you going to the dump to pick up a Jeep or drop one off?

I never woulda thought of disconnecting the motor like that!

Front dig is a good idea to have CSR.

comp style tlt (GROUNDER) with front digg

It is the ability to lock your rear drive wheels. Turning in the direction you wish and applying throttle let your crawler pivot and make extremely tight turns.
