Default My RCP Crawlers Hustler (pics!)

thanks to brian, nathan, jason and noel for the help/ideas/advice!

here are the specs of the mysterious, never photographed hustler!

RCP Crawlers hustler tube chassis. chassis is painted gloss black. the panels are flat black(of course!) with pinstriping and hand lettering by me. these pics don't do it justice. lots of cool details hiding on the chassis.

thunder tech CVD's, narrowed axial wheels, aluminum spools, moab XL's, hot bodies shocks with internal springs.

integy hand wound 60 turn motors, mamba max esc, A-123 9.9v battery, airtronics 94359Z servos, all controlled by an airtronics M8 with spektrum.

i had a chance to wheel jason's hustler at the last so-cal comp. made a believer out of me real quick! the hustler is available only from RCP Crawlers Inc. check them out at http://www.rcpcrawlers.com, or contact Rockpiledriver.

no action pics yet, just finished it tonight.

i don't own the turbo module, but i've tried it! pretty neat! i recommend the A-123 9.9v pack for any super class rig.

Nice to see yours totally complete.

Q:
What weight (if any) oil, are you using in your shocks?

I emptied mine, when I put the springs in.

The rig looks awsome. As for what oil to run the shocks I have found that 100 wt. Works very well. It slows down the suspension and makes it less likely to unload on the verts or of camber stuff. This is how we also set up are 1:1 rig.

In the pics it looks like the shocks don't have the springs in. Are the springs just light to add more droop?

the springs are inside the shocks. the piston pulls against the spring like a harley softail shock.

The Hustler is designed for 100% droop travel. It works VERY well. There are spings under the pistons in the shocks helping hold the rig down. These springs are included with the chassis kit.

Oops.

That's my fault y'all...

I took my Hustler to the gtg on Sunday & I had my springs in the wrong way...

Sorry Sven. I got 'em fixed now though...
