Here is when the Mail man rang the door. Ohh..what ever could it be. THe Mail man is an avid RC guy too. So he knows how important my RC parts are!!

Other Hyperion Motor from Holmes Hobbies. He hooked me up with the connectors too!

Other Mamba Max..Had to order off someone else John didn't have any in stock.:-(

Pile of stuff from JP customs!!

Assembly of the CVD's

Installation of the CVD's

The JP knuckles are awesome. Had to grind a little to make them fit the RC4WD tubes.

Knuckles installed.

Here are the 17mm adapters I got from RCP. The only thing they lack is the set screws to hold the pin.

Rough mock up!

Okay...another break. Check out the next post.

The integy stays came with servo mounts. Didn't know that!

Jp Customs got me this BTA

This mount had to be cut a little to fit the RC4WD axle stays.

After

Servo Mounted up.

BTA fully installed.

The set screws for the CVD's were there, but the ones for the RCP 17mm wheel adapters didn't have the set screws. They only came with the adapters and the pins. You need set screws to hold the pins in place. I had some laying around, but most people wouldn't!

If there is still clearance to the links would it be a problem? Or would the mesh of the gears be a problem?

When I tried to fit my Thundertech BTA Kit with a lathe motor/adjustable mount and Run2jeepn 1" long servo horn I got a foul on the motor. If I used the 3/4" servo horn I couldn't get full steering lock with the CVD's.

Is that hyperion shorter than a lathe/adjustable mount assembly? If it is you may not have the problem I did.

The hyperion is a little shorter than the Lathe. Everything besides the links were okay with the motor on that side. I looked and flipped the knuckles over to help with clearance. Everything should be good with the motor on the right side!

The link clearance is the main problem, and I don't think you can run as small a pinion with the motor on that side, plus the weight won't be as ballanced. Also you will probably have some problems with clearing that bta kit with the links.

I recommend that to take your wallet to the Emergency Room, fast as you can.

Very nice build, batteries will be on the knuckles, I assume?

No doubt. Super can get expensive.

I am not sure about the batteries. I may run a Lipo's!

I made that one myself. You may try RCTECH or Upgrade RC.
