Cut some new panels. Laying some paint later this week. Hopefully have them ready for the comp this Sunday. Still need a Beadlock ring....hope its on the way! Hint hint JIA Got the Dx6 figured out. Mixed both the throttle and steering and it makes it a lot easier to use. After this comp, it gets torn down and sent out to get Powder Coated Candy Blue! Like my 2.2. Got to probably order some new Moabs for it. I'll wait till I get it back from the PC though. |

man that's a whole lotta Bling$$$ what made your descision on the Jr8711 , how much I read that in a test the 8711 had more torque than 5995/5955 is that why you went with 8711 So How does it Climb What parts give you a performance advantage Last edited by toy4crawlin; 10-03-2007 at 12:01 PM. |

The 8711 have 400 oz. Plus my Hobby Shop sponsors me. They were on sale a while back for $114.00. I get them for a little less. I have never been a Hitec fan, burnt to many up. I like Airtronics, but they don't have anything that can push this like the JR. At this point with my lack of skill on the DX6 I am not the guy to answer the climbing. I like the set-up. The brushless motor stop on a dime and I have all the power I need. The parts assembled to build this truck were from other people threads on what would be the best. As I get better with the DX6 and more time on the rig, it will be a winner for me!

" RC4WD axle tubes. He was kind enough to sell me the tubes seperate. Then he sent me all the knuckles too!! These are really nice pieces." I see that you're using the raptor axles tubes with a clod gear case. Did the have to modify the case for the tubes to fit? Also, could you have used the raptor knuckles with the cvd's even though you went with the JP knuckles.....without modification? I ask because I have complete raptor axles on my crawler (gear case, tubes, knuckles..etc) and I'd like to switch to the clod gear case, Integy gears...etc. Thanks! Tom |

http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=424 I am pretty sure that you wouldn't have any issue with the CVD's and Raptor knuckles, but I can't be for certain since I used these other tubes. Good luck with your project. I hope it goes well.
