Exclamation

Well I'm still waiting for my servo mounts to arrive from Crawford Performance Engineering. This is one of the last items on the list of needs. I can't seem to get a response out of Crawford though. Has anyone had any trouble getting things from them before?????????

Talking

Well, I just received my servo mounts this afternoon:-P. Now I just need to pick up my 2 HT5955TG servos. I'll do that tomorrow then start building again. I am so ready to hit the rocks.

Anyone tried ACE RC DS1015 servos? I have them in my shop. they are seriously spec'd and reasonably cheap. Might give them a go.

Servos are Hyperion digitals - so far so good. Esc - 2 x Novak Rooster Crawlers (yes twice the glitching but using a BEC certianly helps). BEC Castle 10A. Motors 65T Integy V10 with 8T pinions.
The Hustler is a pure pleasure to build with all the various holes lining up perfectly and all parts very high quality. Just 2 little gripes - The Traxxas ball ends are all different lengths with dotts on them to indicate which are which. Not RCP's fault but a note would be nice. Saves having to remove ball ends when the axles turn out crooked. And why oh why do they use a mixture of imperial and metric fasteners? I expect it is because that was what was available at the time, but trying to get 6-32 x 1/4 grub screws outside of the USA is almost impossible! I was short 8 in my kit (actually we got in about 10 kits and they were all short so order spares when you get one).
Apart from that it is an excellent crawler! WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than my stick. 9.5/10 for RCP.
Actually that's not true about the dots on the rod ends, they are for identifying cavities in the injection mold, when one flashes or clogs they can go to it quickly versus having to look at each one. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

It looks like you went all black with your kit Les Crawl. I like it. Hope to see some pics as your build go's along. I am supposed to get my servos today.
All I need now is my DX6i and some custom Lipo batteries I had made for me.

The wheels are RC4WD 40 Series Beadlocks with Center Caps.
RC4WD also has the 40 Series Rockstars.

Can't go wrong with Spektrum, the 2.4Ghz are about glitchless, I'm running Futaba in one 3PK and Spektrum module in the other 3PK, the Futaba will glitch once in a while, but, not often, You about got your build together?
