have you noticed the skid plate getting hung up on rocks at all? Seems like a decent investment, just don't want to limit anything.

Are those homemade lower links in the front?

Nope, those are Tamiya high clearance links. The set for the front and rear are different bends

Hey Crawler what brand weights did you use for your wheels? I still haven't picked up the skid plate from the post office (damn registered mail) and now that I see them I regret not buying the steering links! |

I used some Great Planes stick on lead weight strips from Tower. I think I bought 4 packs of them, theres two strips in each pack. I had to break them up and position them around so there were no overly heavy spots

You Bronco looks great just one tip, the original Skid Plate from Junfac is a few mm to long. Cut abaout 5mm from the lower end, the Skid Plate works better. Hubert |

Thanks, yeah I took it out tonight and I heard it scrape off a few rocks every now and then. It could use about that much trimmed off the bottom. Other than that I didn't get hung because of it. |

Looking Good 860! I've used a skid like that on a rig running mudslingers - hit on just about everything. With the larger tire your running you should be good to go.

Yeah its working out alright so far. I will cut about a mm or two off the bottom like suggested because sometimes it will get hung in reverse:?

Nick, do you find that it gets hung up on the bottom part of the skid plate? Just curious. -Z |

It has in reverse a few times. I need to cut a mm or two off the bottom if I continue to run it. The majority of the time if I'm going forward its got enough torque to just scrape over stuff it hits

Got my Wild Willy spare painted up for use on the Bronco. Also took the Bronco out for a spin. I've painted up the stock wheels and put the stock Vise Crawlers on those wheels. There's no weight in them. I figure I can use the Proline wheels/Cliff Crawlers for our comps, but use these any other time. The rig feel like a feather with these wheels on after having 18oz total up front and 12oz total in the rear in the Prolines. I figure this could be easier on the drivetrain for just goofing around/trail runs. Its pretty light/tippy though, just like when new so I have to be a little more careful. When I got home the mounting blocks I used on the spare were dry and it was ready to go on the body. Those are some Lucite blocks siliconed to the back of the spare and hook and loop used to attach it to the body so I can peel the spare off if I want. AWESOME Bronco Not trying to be picky but the Bronco spare is on the other side. License plate is on the left. No worries though looks good.
