Lightbulb Droop or no droop + give me some ideas

Hello,
First off, let me introduce myself since I have never posted anything before. My name is Vince and I live in the Seattle area. The whole CR-01 thing is kind of new to me. In fact, I kind of had trader's remorse after I traded my Honcho for it. But now, I am starting to love it. After getting my ass kicked every time I went crawling with the local guys, I decided to raise the engine/tranny, get rid of the cantilever setup, and do a full droop suspension. I am thinking though, should I add springs to my shocks or leave them springless. I want some scalability, but crawl-ablility too. Please let me know what you guys think. Also, any other ideas of what I should do next would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Still a work in progress. I need to take everything apart and paint it.

Can't view the pic. Not sure what it is with those google docs, but they never seem to open for me.

Anyhow, found that a semi-droop setup works very well for the CR chassis. Basically, a small spring on top of the piston and a longer one underneath. Still allows a little uptravel, but works like traditional droop otherwise - let;e the suspension float a little bit. I found that using that kind of shock with a larger diameter tire brought the COG down without much of a breakover loss. 2 good shocks are the Junfac Transition, and a set of Creeper shocks work surprisingly well also.

Here's mine with the Junfacs installed - maybe it gives you some ideas.

Here is my full droop setup CR01 tube beast:

I'm running some 1/8th scale gas truck shocks, no springs, and believe it or not, motor car oil in the shocks. Those shocks are slow as hell with motor oil installed. But this thing is a mutant on the rocks...

And she has more than enough ground clearance

In my opinion, leave it low and springless. And try and post some pic for us...

I'm not set up for much droop at all but still have wicked wheel travel and decent stability, keep in mind I lengthened my wheel base and widened it as well...
